SUBMITTING FILMS FOR 2020 SPECIAL: ASIA PACIFIC HUMAN RIGHTS FILM FESTIVAL IN NEW YORK (NOVEMBER '2020)
1. This year, in order to be considered for our film festival, films submitted must fall into the following category: "Tolerance and Non-discrimination". Only entries relevant to the competition category and submitted within the dates 31.03.2020 - 20.05.2020 shall be accepted. Participation at other festivals is not a limitation.
2. Submissions are open for all filmmakers from the Asia Pacific region. Submitter shall be willing to present his film in New York (November'2020).
3. Submitted entries must come with the final dialog script with time-code in English language. Entries in any other language than English, Mandarin Chinese or Cantonese must contain embedded English subtitles.
4. Technical requirements for film entries: recommended format HD 1080p, codec H.264 or X264, H.265, accepted container AVI, MPG, MPG2, MP4, MOV, WMV, frame rate 24 fps, sound norm EBU-R128 LUFS -24dB, aspect ratio 16:9. All submissions shall be in digital format.
5. Films can be narrative, documentary, animation, experimental, young filmmakers, and short films, however, films cannot be more than 2 years old.
6. There is no entry fee for the entries. Submission is free of charge.
7. Entry forms must be filled out and submitted through the FilmFreeway platform. Entries must be submitted no later than May 20th, 2020. Incomplete entries shall be rejected. Submitter must not withdraw the entry from the festival program once officially confirmed by submitting the entry.
8. Submitter hereby declares that he or she is a holder of all applicable distribution rights to submitted films and that this submission does not violate property rights of other parties or personal or proprietary copyright of the author or authors of a given film. The Organizer shall not be held liable for possible violations of right resulting from unauthorized submission of a film to the contest.
SUBMITTING FILMS FOR 1905 International Human Rights Film Festival:
1. This year, in order to be considered for our film festival, films submitted must fall into the following category:
"Tolerance and Non-discrimination"
2. Films can be narrative, documentary, animation, experimental, young filmmakers, and short films, however, films cannot be more than 10 years old.
3. By submitting a film, you guarantee that your entry is your original work and does not infringe on the copyright or other rights of third parties.
4. No works in progress accepted.

2. Please let us know if your film has already been shown in Hong Kong (if not, we will advertise it as a Hong Kong premiere).
3. Our festival often screens films multiple times throughout the festival (especially during the tour portion since we travel to different cities). Therefore, please let us know if there is a limit to the number of screenings.
5. If mailing a DVD, please label your disc with, Title, Director, Submission Categories, Runtime and email address.
6. If selected, filmmakers must also send their film's "Press Package" to contact.cwff@gmail.com. The Press Package must include:
- Film poster (high resolution)
- At least 2 stills (high resolution)
- Film synopsis
- A photo of the director
7. We reserve the right to use any material provided to us as part of our PR, marketing, and promotional activities.
8. For films in English, there must be Chinese subtitles and vice-versa. If the film is not in either of these languages, there must be subtitles in both English and Chinese. If the film does not have subtitles, the filmmaker must send a .srt file of their script to contact.cwff@gmail.com so that we can get it translated.
