About the festival

21:60 is an multi-platform online and in person 60 second film festival, presented by the Take21 Film Festival!

Take 21is an international film festival that showcases the work of youth filmmakers. The festival works to inspire, develop, and provide growth opportunities to aspiring filmmakers, Take 21 has become one of the most exciting opportunities for young filmmakers from all over the world to showcase their short films.

Every spring, Take21 hosts a one night showcase of 21 short films one to six minutes in length submitted by student filmmakers from around the globe. This year, Take21 will host an online 60 second film festival which will showcase 21 films on Facebook, Vimeo, Instagram, Twitter and our website over the span of 21 days in the months leading up to the main showcase. The festival will allow viewers to vote for their favourite film online and the top 5 films from this online festival will be shown at the main showcase. As well, the prize for top voted film will be announced.

The main Take21 showcase is on May 28th 2017 at the Ted Rogers Hot Doc's Cinema in Toronto, Canada. Submissions are being accepted until April 28th 2017 through FilmFreeway: https://filmfreeway.com/festival/take21

1. Films must be no longer than 60 seconds in length (with a 5 second grace period for credits only)

2. Filmmakers must be 21 years or younger and present a valid piece of I.D. for proof of age.

**If a film/filmmaker cannot meet any or all of these conditions, then the film will automatically be disqualified from the festival
