1. - NTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL LUZ DEL DESIERTO
This Festival aims to promote culture and film production both in the country and in the world.
2. - DATE OF THE EVENT:
It will take place from october 8 to 11
3. - PLACE:
Argentina
4. - CATEGORIES OF THE CONTEST
_ Feature film: Official competition for works that develop the fictional or documentary or experimental genre in Argentine, foreign feature films with a minimum duration of 60 minutes.
_ Short Film: Official competition for Argentine and foreign works that develop any genre, with a maximum duration of 15 minutes including credits.
_ Avellaneda Schools Short Film: Competition for short films of any genre that are made by primary or secondary schools in the city of Avellaneda.
5. - GENERAL CONDITIONS OF APPLICATION
a) Those works completed within the period January 2019 to 2020 inclusive may participate. There will be a preselection of the submitted works.
b) Registration for the festival will be done through FilmFreeway
c) All the works, whether or not they have been selected, will not be returned and will become part of the Festival Video Library, where these resources will be administered for the performance of special functions and itinerant exhibitions in national or international fields that are interested in the material and its exhibition, such as special samples from the Luz del Desierto national film festival. The author of the work cannot make any claim or demand any compensation for the use of it by the festival. In the case of projection, the prior approval of the person responsible for the work will be requested.
d) Once the work has been pre-selected, the owner must deliver a copy in Hd format for its exhibition at the festival in its best possible quality.
6. - JURY
a) The jury will be made up of personalities from the audiovisual media, the arts and national and / or international culture.
b) People who are directly related to the works in competition will be disqualified from being part of the jury.
c) The jury's decision is final
7. - AWARDS
The Festival will grant the following prizes:
• Best Feature Film Award.
• Best Short Film Award.
• 2 Jury Mentions in each category.
8. - TRANSFER OF COPIES
a) The shipping costs of the works will be the responsibility of the registrant.
9. - COPIES INSURANCE
a) The Festival is not responsible for the damages or losses occurred during the transfer of the copies.
b) In case of serious damage or loss during the development of the contest and while it is in the possession of the organization, it will be responsible for the replacement cost of the copy, in the same format and quality of the copy received as long as this situation is reliably notified by the interested party during the event.
10. - BREACH OF REQUIREMENTS
The works received that do not comply with the general conditions of participation and the pre-selection requirements will not be registered.
11. - ACCEPTANCE BASES AND CONDITIONS - ASSIGNMENT OF RIGHTS
The inscription in the Luz del Desierto International Film Festival implies the acceptance of the present bases and conditions and the transfer of the projection rights of the material presented for the purposes of the diffusion of this edition, as well as future editions from the material selection date.
Likewise, together with the signing of these bases and conditions, the owner of the work agrees to transfer the rights of projection and reproduction of the same for the purposes of its exhibition at the Luz del Desierto International Film Festival (in the national territory or abroad) as well as for its advertising diffusion.
12. - RIGHTS OF THE PARTICIPATING WORKS
1) The participants declare that they are the only and real owners of the audiovisual works presented at the festival, both in the case of being the author and the transferee of the same. In case of falsification in the sworn statement, as they are not the holders of the same, the responsibility for any claim from third parties will be exclusively of the participant who presents the work, with the Festival having nothing to answer to third parties.

The bases and conditions may be modified without prior notice.
