About the festival

The Aletheia Fellowship of the Arts Feature Film Awards (or Truth Awards) are quality awards for Christian feature films and documentaries selected by a process designed to reflect integrity and balance between performance and purpose. There are thirty-four “Merit” categories and five “Special” categories judged by a mix of film professionals and ministry leaders. The awards ceremony will be held Friday night May 5-6, 2017 at The Historic Princess Theater 421 North Roane Street Harriman, TN. 37748

BASIC RULES FOR SUBMISSION OF A FILM
1.Films must be submitted and payment received through FilmFreeway.com. The registration forms (and only the forms) are then sent to MissionWorx Films 2424 Staplehurst Lane Knoxville, TN 37932.
2.Films must have been completed between January 1, 2016 and March 15, 2017. Submission Deadline April 15, 2017.
3.Films must consist primarily of Family Friendly and/or Christian based content.
4.Films must be at least 60 minutes in length except for the Short Film, Documentaries, Best Biblical Education/ Ministry Support Film and the Student Film awards.
5.The principal (owner/producer) must fill out each section for the categories in which they wish the film’s talent to be considered with printed and legible names of the individual(s) who would receive the Aletheia.
6.There is a $65 fee for submission to be paid through FilmFreeway.com.
7.Know that we are praying for you.
8.There will be ONE trophy per category regardless of the number of recipients. Recipients or the principal of the production may order another trophy for a winner at cost of $65.
9.If a film is nominated then a release form will be sent and it must be returned with a dvd copy of there film to be shown at the festival.
10.While our planning is responsive to the attendance, the additional details we "hope" to include at the event will be 1) an event store to sell films that have been nominated for an award in previous or current Truth Awards. 2) A dinner for nominees -past and present. 3) A round table between pastors and film makers. 4) An opportunity for Q&A for films nominated. (if producers wish to request this) 5) a lounge for nominees and winners past and present. 6) A special worship service with pastors, film makers and local congregations focusing on the ministry of film making. 7) seminars and round tables. 8) the showing of the films nominated for Best Film, past winners of Best Film and others as there is room.
