The third edition of ARCTIC MOVING IMAGE & FILM FESTIVAL (AMIFF) takes place in Harstad, an arctic town of Northern Norway, 18. - 21- October 2018. The festival combines conventional film and 'the moving image'; video art, experimental film and time-based installations and sculptures. We celebrate film - through past, present and future - and we explore society, both in the Arctic and the rest of the world, through film and the moving image. The relatively short history of film is now starting to measure up to a considerable size, and our identity is intertwined by film. At AMIFF you can see film and moving images, and experience interesting art talks, workshops and cultural events. We hope this festival will be an inspiration for everyone interested in film and visual art.
