The ADFF has been established to encourage film production using only Drones or Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV's) and UAV mounted cameras. Our event is not just about screening films, it’s about the creative process of making film.
We aim to provide you with the opportunity to showcase your work to as wide an audience as possible, not only with the ADFF premiere your film will receive if selected, but also by a variety of annual screenings following the premiere event.
Feature Item
We are all about encouraging the creation of film with UAV’s, so it's a requirement of entry that your film is made specifically for the ADFF. The “Feature Item” (FI) is a way for us to know that your film has been made for the Festival.
The FI for the 2017 ADFF is "FEATHER".
You can include the FI in your film in any way you like and any interpretation of the FI is accepted - you can create a whole story idea around the FI, or you can choose to have it in the script or the background of a shot.

The recipient of any award resulting in a cash or prize of economic value must be in compliance with regulations of the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (including Part 101
Amendments taking effect September 29, 2016). (Refer to Civil Aviation Safety Regulations - Requirement for UAV operator’s certificate)
