Se invita a realizadores, artistas audiovisuales, coreógrafos, bailarines, artistas, creativos, profesionales y estudiantes de estas disciplinas, a postular sus cortometrajes de danza, para ser parte de Bestias Danzantes Festival Cine de Danza 2019.
Serán considerados y bienvenidos todos los cortometrajes de danza, de cualquier estilo y género, de una duración entre 1 minuto y 15 minutos (créditos incluidos). Los films que excedan la duración quedarán automáticamente fuera de la convocatoria y del proceso de selección.
Registros de performances o registros de obras de danza quedan fuera de esta convocatoria y del proceso de selección.
Nos encantan las mezclas, así que bienvenidos también los cortometrajes de danza que se crucen con otras disciplinas como la música, la moda, el diseño o arquitectura.
Queremos sorprendernos, que se traspasen los límites, que los creadores se atrevan a jugar, a explorar y que se abran nuevas posibilidades para este género. Queremos sentirnos inspirad@s!
El presupuesto del film y la trayectoria de los creativos / realizadores / artistas no es un tema relevante para nosotr@s.
ESPECIFICACIONES
► Los postulantes deberán ser mayores de 18 años.
► Los films deben corresponder al género de cine de danza (danza para la pantalla, video danza)
► Los films de danza deberán tener una duración entre 1 minuto y 15 minutos (incluyendo los créditos). Los films que excedan la duración quedarán automáticamente fuera de la convocatoria y del proceso de selección.
►Los films deben tener una fecha de producción a partir del año 2017 o posterior. Los films que con fecha de producción anterior al 2017 quedarán automáticamente fuera de la convocatoria y del proceso de selección.
► Los films deben postularse a solo una categoría. En caso que postules a más de una, solo será considerada la primera categoría visibilizada por esta plataforma.
► Deberá incluirse en la postulación una copia de previsualización del film (vimeo, youtube o página web), para el equipo de jurado del Festival. Las postulaciones que no incluyan esta copia de previsualización, quedarán automáticamente fuera de la convocatoria y del proceso de selección.
► Deberán incluir los créditos del equipo creativo, incluyendo coreógrafos, bailarines y Compañía de Danza, en caso que aplique, en la postulación. Queremos visualizar todo el equipo de trabajo tras tu film!
► Los films que contengan diálogos, en un idioma distinto al español, deberán incluir en la copia de previsualización del film, los respectivos subtítulos al Español o al Inglés.
► Los realizadores participando a la categoría Mejor Film Estudiante deberán incluir su tarjeta o credencial de estudiante vigente o alguna otra prueba de inscripción (Colegio o Universidad). Para el caso de estudiantes chilenos, la tarjeta de estudiante vigente es un medio suficiente a incluir en la postulación. Este requerimiento es excluyente, si no se adjunta el o los documentos de verificación a la postulación en la plataforma FilmFreeway, el film quedará automáticamente fuera de esta convocatoria y del proceso de selección.
► Cada realizador / postulante podrá postular como máximo 2 films en el contexto de esta convocatoria. En caso que el realizador / postulante postule más de 2 films, solo serán considerados los últimos dos films postulados y el resto de los films quedará automáticamente fuera de esta convocatoria y del proceso de selección.
OTRAS CONSIDERACIONES
► El film postulado debe ser de propia autoría o, en caso contrario, el postulante, institución o equipo realizador postulante, deberá asegurar y garantizar tener todos los derechos de autor necesarios, para presentar y exhibir el film postulado, incluyendo todo el material visual, musical, de apoyo y otros que sea entregado al Festival; manteniendo a Bestias Danzantes fuera de cualquier reclamo de cualquier persona en relación a uso y/o derechos de propiedad intelectual, asociados a la exhibición y difusión del film, y sus materiales de apoyo, presentado a esta convocatoria.
► Bestias Danzantes no transferirá ningún film que haya sido postulado, y no seleccionado, a terceras partes, y no hará uso de ningún material asociado a su postulación.
► Bestias Danzantes no transferirá ningún film que haya sido postulado y seleccionado, a terceras partes que no sean integrantes de programa o actividades complementarias de Bestias Danzantes. El Festival informará a los realizadores cada una de las instancias de exhibición, a través del mail de contacto entregado por el postulante / realizador al momento de realizar su postulación.
FILMS SELECCIONADOS
Si tu film es seleccionado, nos pondremos en contacto a través del mail entregado por el postulante / realizador en su postulación, para que puedas enviarnos información adicional que nos permitirá comunicar, difundir y exhibir tu film en nuestro Festival y en sus actividades complementarias nacionales e internacionales:
► El postulante deberá enviar el film seleccionado, con una calidad para su exhibición de H264 1920 X 1080 (HD) o H264 720 x1080 (en caso especial), y en formato .mov, vía wetransfer u otro medio similar. En caso que el film disponible para descarga via FilmFreeway cumpla con estas condiciones de calidad, Bestias Danzantes solicitará permiso para su descarga a través de esta plataforma.
► Los films seleccionados que tengan palabras escritas o habladas, distintas al español, deberán ser enviados considerando una de las dos opciones que se detallan a continuación: (i) enviar el film con subtítulos en español, (ii) o bien enviar el film y adicionalmente los textos en inglés, con su respectivo minutaje, para que el festival pueda realizar el proceso de subtitulaje.
► El postulante deberá enviar 3 fotografías digitales de alta calidad, pudiendo ser imágenes fijas del film, de un mínimo de 300 dpi, e información opcional para mayor difusión y comunicación en nuestras redes y colaboradores: i) Bio del realizador y/o equipo realizador, ii) trailer de tu film (en caso que cuentes con uno), (iii) contacto en las redes sociales del realizador y/o equipo realizador y/o proyecto, en caso que quisieran que el festival realice tags a las publicaciones en que estemos difundiendo las exhibiciones en las que el film seleccionado participará (Facebook, twitter, instagram)
► El postulante, al momento de suscribirse a esta convocatoria, estará aceptando las condiciones estipuladas en estas bases, concediendo (i) los derechos para exhibición de sus films (Exhibiciones para los días del Festival y exhibiciones que realice Bestias Danzantes Festival de Cine de Danza en conjunto con sus colaboradores y Co-presentadores internacionales y nacionales) durante el 2019, 2020 y primer semestre 2021, (ii) así como para la utilización, por parte de Bestias Danzantes, del material suministrado por el postulante, incluyendo música, video, fotografías e imágenes fijas con fines de promoción del festival 2019 al 2021, y para la promoción futura de Bestias Danzantes Festival Cine de Danza.

All filmmakers, audiovisual artists, choreographers, dancers, creatives, artists, professionals and students of these disciplines, are invited to submit their dance films, video dance works, and be part of Bestias Danzantes Dance Film Festival 2019.
All dance films, of any style and gender, between 1 minute and 15 minutes in length will be considered and welcomed (credits included). Short films that exceed 15 minutes will be automatically excluded from this call and selection process.
Dance performance recordings are excluded from this call and for the selection process
We love mixtures, so, dance films crossing over other disciplines such as music, fashion, design and architecture are welcome too.
We want to be surprised, for boundaries to be exceeded, we want creators to dare to play, to explore, and for new possibilities to open in this genre. We want to feel inspired!
The budget of the films and the background of the creators are not a relevant issue for us.
SPECIFICATIONS
► Participants must be at least 18 years old to apply
► Films must correspond to the genre of dance cinema (dance for the screen, video dance).
► Dance film must have a length between 1 minute and 15 minutes (credits included). Dance films that exceed 15 minutes will be automatically excluded from this call and selection process.
► Dance films must have a production date of 2017 or later. Dance films with a production date prior to 2017 will automatically be excluded from the call and the selection process.
► Dance films must be submiited to one category. In case the film is submitted to more than one category, will be consider the first category displayed by this platform.
► A preview copy of the film (vimeo, youtube or web page) must be included in your submission, to be seen by the jury. Submissions that do not include this preview copy will automatically be excluded from the call and the selection process.
► You must include in your application, the credits associated to the entire creative team, including choreographers, dancers and dance company, if applicable. We want to visualize all the crew and work behind your film.
► Dance films containing dialogues, in a language other than Spanish, must include in the preview copy of the film, the respective subtitles in Spanish or English.
► Filmmakers submitting to “Bestias Danzantes Best Student Film” category, must include a current, valid student ID or proof of enrollment with your submission (School or University). For Chilean students, the current student card is a sufficient document to include in the application. In case a verification document is not attached to the application (in FilmFreeway platform), the film will automatically be excluded from this call and the selection process.
► Each filmmaker / applicant can submit a maximum of 2 dance films in the context of this call. In case the filmmaker submits more than 2 dance films, only the last two dance films submitted will be considered and the rest of the films will automatically be excluded from this call and the selection process.
OTHER CONSIDERATIONS
► The individual, filmmaker, institution or creative team submitting the film, must ensure and hereby warrants that they have all necessary copyrights to present and exhibit the film submitted, including all visual and musical materials, and all the supporting materials submitted to the Festival, keeping Bestias Danzantes out of harm from any claim of any person relating to use and / or intellectual property rights associated with the exhibition and dissemination of the film, and its supporting materials, submitted to this call.
► Bestias Danzantes will not transfer any films and / or supporting material submitted (and not selected) to third parties, and will not use any material associated with its application.
► Bestias Danzantes will not transfer any submitted and selected films and / or its supporting material, to third parties other than members of the program or complementary activities of Bestias Danzantes. The festival will inform to the filmmakers about every exhibition, by email delivered by the applicant / director in the submission process.
SELECTED FILMS
If your film is selected, we will get in contact by email delivered by the applicant / director in the application, so you can send us additional information that will allow us to communicate, spread and screen your film in our Festival and in our national and international complementary activities:
► Selected films will be requested in the following quality for its exhibition: H264 1920 X 1080 (Full HD) o H264 720 x1080 (special case), and in .mov format. The applicant must send the selected film via wetransfer or similar. In case the film is available for download via FilmFreeway and complies with these quality conditions, Bestias Danzantes will request permission for download through this platform.
► Selected films with spoken or written words, in a language other than Spanish, will be requested considering one of the two options listed below: (i) send the film with Spanish subtitles, (ii) or send the film and additionally the texts in English, with their respective timing, so the festival can carry out the subtitling process.
► 3 high quality digital photographs or still photos, minimum 300 dpi, will be required and optional info for further promotion and communication within our networks and our partners: i ) Filmmaker and / or creative team Bio, ii ) the dance film trailer (in case you have one), iii) contact in the social media (filmmaker and/or filmmaker team and/or project), in case you want the festival to tag your film in the publications about the screenings in which it will be participating (Facebook, twitter, instagram)
► The applicant, when subscribing to this call, will be accepting the conditions stipulated in these terms of call, granting the rights (i) to exhibit their films (at Bestias Danzantes Festival and at the exhibitions that take place in conjunction with its international and national Partners) during 2019, 2020 and first semester of 2021, (ii) and for the use of the supporting material supplied by the applicant, including video, photographs and still images for promotional purposes of the festival 2019 to 2021 and for the future promotion of Bestias Danzantes Dance Film Festival .
