Blank Slate International is the first festival of it’s kind.

Terms and rules

The films submitted, through www.filmfreeway.com only, will screen on the BS International Vimeo channel allowing star rating, vote counting, comments and advisory. The votes count for 50% (fifty) of the scorecard and is coupled with the BS International team selection.
Entries agree and give permission to the Film Fest, Director, Round Seven LLC, Vimeo and their subsidiaries to host the entry's film on the company affiliated channels for a non-limited term, with the option automatically renewed on March 1st each year. The entry also understands that they will receive any revenue allotted to them through the Royalty Pool after recuperable are processed.

Applicants anywhere in the world are eligible; however the material submitted must be in English.

The application fee is 45$ for feature screenplays
The application fee is 35$ for Pilot scripts
The application fee is 45$ for either a short film or new media.
The application fee must be paid in full at the time of the application submission. The application fee is non-refundable.

All submitted material must be original, and all rights must be wholly owned by the writer(s) and/or filmmakers.
Material must be submitted by the writer or the director. Material written by writing teams must be submitted by one of the writers, with consent of the other(s). We need a written proof of that!

It is strongly recommended that material be registered with the WGA and/or the U.S. Copyright Office or at least deposited at a lawyers office.

There is no limit to the number of projects you may submit. If you want to submit multiple projects, they must be submitted separately with separate entry fees.

Applicants must be readily accessible via phone, email and Skype for meetings at the conclusion of the festival.
Any submitted work that becomes optioned, published, produced or purchased between the time of submission and the end of the evaluation period will no longer be eligible.
Material should be submitted in industry-standard format, font, spacing and margins.
Adaptations are ineligible unless the underlying rights are owned by the writer or the work is in the public domain.

Feature Screenplays longer than 130 pages, Drama Television Pilots longer than 60 pages and Comedy Television Pilots longer than 30 pages (or 70 pages double-spaced sitcom pilots) will not be eligible.

All material must be submitted in PDF format or it will not be eligible.
Between 2 and 4 recipients will be awarded (at the sole discretion of ScreenCraft and judges). The winners will be notified by e-mail. Failure to respond to the initial notification within ten (10) days or return of notification will result in disqualification. Blank Slate International reserves the right to amend these rules at any time.
Entrants may be required to submit further information to assist in the judges’ verification of eligibility.
Any entrant may be deemed ineligible at the sole discretion of Blank Slate International.

GENERAL AGREEMENT FOR PARTICIPATION IN BS International
I have read and accept the Rule’s and regulations of BS International. I authorize BS International to screen my film online to compete for the award for Best Narrative/Doc Short Film, Best Animation Film, Best Web Series, Best Music Video, and Best Director. I certify that I hold necessary rights for the presentation of this film in BS International and that all rights and permissions have been made. This film is not subject to any litigation nor is threatened by any litigation. By accepting these conditions, I transfer to BS International the right to use excerpts of the submitted film, its stills, and trailers, for the purposes of publicity and marketing for the film at the various social networks and on the website of the festival, and for other non-commercial purposes related to the promotion of the festival. I hereby agree to indemnify BS International if such rights have not been properly transferred.
