About the festival

Do you have a short horror film you’re just dying to get in front of audiences? If so, we have an offer for you. Borderlands Media’s growing franchise surrounding Perdition’s Mistress of Iniquity, the Lady Belladonna, is stepping up its game by offering $500 prizes to five lucky winners, along with limited festival screenings and worldwide distribution. In addition, the winners of this contest will be screened at the 2018 Borderlands Film Festival.
Lady Belladonna: The Movie picks up where Lady Belladonna’s Night Shades left off, by taking elements of Rod Serling’s Night Gallery, Mystery Science Theatre 3000 and Elvira, Mistress Of The Dark, then shaking liberally to create an irreverent showcase for short horror masterpieces.
What we’re looking for is just that: short horror films. Period. Whether it’s creepy, chimerical or campy, is up to you, it just has to include an element of fear and amazement. If we like it, seductive hellion Lady Belladonna will showcase it in the next installment from her lair somewhere in the twisting depths of Hades to her rapidly growing fanbase. It’s as simple as that.

• Five short films will be chosen at $500 each.
• Inclusion in the anthology film Lady Belladonna: The Movie, sequel to the 2016 release Lady Belladonna’s Night Shades (now available on Amazon Prime).
• Screenings of the anthology at the Borderlands Film Festival.
• Distribution via Video-On-Demand platforms.
