Our previous edition was our biggest year yet, doubling in size from the previous year. We welcomed more films, filmmakers and ticket holders than ever before. After receiving a record number of submissions we also increased our short film programming from three short films blocks to six.
The festival is thrilled to announce a new partnership with Gunpowder & Sky’s recently launched horror brand, ALTER. Selected short films will be eligible for review for distribution on the platform.
We're very excited to once again be expanding our reach for 2020 which will see an increase in screenings at Nitehawk Cinema along with additional TBA venues. Stretching eight days, the festival will offer the bulk of its screening and events on the weekend, while the weekday schedule will be lighter.
The festival will also continue with our annual HEAD TRIP shorts program, which last year was expanded into a feature film sidebar spotlighting films that push the boundaries and expectations of the horror genre.
