We showcase films about Ireland and/or films by Irish filmmakers. The 4 day Festival is based at the Washington DC American Film Institute's Silver Theatre & Cultural Center (Silver Spring MD). We receive some funding from Culture Ireland and work closely with the Irish Film Institute. We typically sponsor 3 screenwriters, directors or actors to stay in Washington during the Festival to interact with our audience. The Festival also enjoys sponsorships from the Embassy of Ireland and the Northern Ireland Bureau.
The Festival collects feedback and ratings for each film in order to announce the "Audience Favorite" in both feature and short film categories.
