Catamount Film and Arts High School Filmmakers Showcase represents not only an important outlet for aspiring young filmmakers but also one of only screening opportunities for high school students internationally. Contestants can submit films in four categories: drama, comedy, experimental and documentary. The films will be reviewed by a local student panel before being passed along to a small group of industry professionals who will select a winner and runner-up in each category as well as a grand prize "Best of Fest" winner. These films will be screened during the Green Mountain Film Festival in St. Johnsbury, VT alongside independent features from across the country and around the world.
The "Best of Fest" grand prize winner will receive a scholarship to the School of Creative and Performing Arts, which has campuses in New York, Los Angeles and Burlington, VT.
