-Films must have been made between April 2020-March 2021 by students who were attending high school when the film was created.
-Most entries must not exceed 15 minutes in length, but shorter films might be given preferential treatment due to time limits. See each category for specific length requirements.
-Submissions must be 100% original and student-created: no blatant parodies of existing works and no help from advisors or professional individuals outside of the classroom (excluding actors).
-Any filmmaker that does not verify their age through their submission will be disqualified.
-Student-Appropriate Content Only: No excessive strong language, blatant sexuality, pointless violence, pointless drug/alcohol/tobacco use (i.e. glorifying destructive behaviors), nudity, child peril, etc.
-The use of copy-written material of any kind (Music, video, images, etc.) will result in your film being removed from the festival.
-As this is a film festival, only films should be submitted; student video projects--such as news stories, music videos, sports team promotional videos, etc.--will not be shown or accepted.
-Submission does not guarantee a place in our festival. Various factors such as quality, time constraints, appropriateness or mis-submissions (entering the film in the wrong category) will result in your film being dismissed from inclusion into the festival.
Central Film Festival reserves the right to remove any film from the festival due to time constraints or that they feel contradicts the rules of entry stated above.
