NOTICE OF COMPETITION AND REGULATION
Art. 1
Place and date of execution
The third edition of Cibo Corto Cine Festival Internazionale – Portopalo di Capo Passero (SR) - Sicily will take place in Portopalo di Capo Passero (Sr) from 26th to 29th August 2021.
Art. 2
Organization and theme of the competition
1. The audiovisual works in competition, of the type shown below, must have as their theme, subject or main protagonist the food and beverages that can be treated freely in the most varied representations.
2. The jury reserves the right to change its category by giving notice to the director and / or producer.
Art. 3
Terms and conditions for registration:
1. The registration for the Festival is paid (5 euro per each film), the rates are available on: https://filmfreeway.com/CiboCorto
2. The works must not have been presented on the Italian commercial circuit.
3. The unpublished and the national preview are considered preferential elements in the selection phase.
4. All works must have English subtitles.
5. All works selected to the final must have Italian subtitles.
Art. 4
Submission of the material
1. All the films must be sent by and no later than 31st of May 2021 by the FilmFreeway website: https://filmfreeway.com/CiboCorto
2. Works that arrive after the indicated date will not be taken into consideration.
No liability is accepted for non-telematic functioning.
Art. 5
Conditions of admissibility for the selection
1. All audiovisual works and animation films (2D, 3D, stop-motion) submitted must have been completed after January 1st, 2018.
2. The duration of the works must be:
• Short: from 3 to 20 minutes
• Documentaries: up to 26 minutes
For all the works, the opening/closing credits must be included in the scheduled times, tolerance of 10 seconds.
The received material will be kept in the archives of the Associazione CAP 96010 for study, promotional purposes or to be the subject of other reviews, in which case the Management will make arrangements with those entitled.
Art. 6
Selection of works
1. The festival management will communicate the results of the selection to all finalists by e-mail, at the address indicated by the members, by 1st July 2021.
2. The chosen authors must therefore send, by e-mail to info@cibocorto.com the link from which to download without fail no later than 30th July 2021, under penalty of exclusion from the competition:
a. a copy of the work to be projected during the festival in format: .mov or .m4v or .mpeg in order to carry out the technical tests.
b. Italian subtitles (for non italian works) and english subtitles (for every works) in SRT format
c. Annex A for privacy and liberatory for screenings
d. Poster of the movie
e. Trailer if any.
The Management reserves the right to request the replacement of copies that are inadequate for such a good public screening.
3. All finalist works will be screened on the days of the Festival followed by an interview with the authors or a representative in charge, if any.
4. The Jury will have the discretion to accept works in the OUT OF COMPETITION section; they will be considered for a screening outside the competition.
5. The prizes will be awarded during the final evening, August 29th 2021.
Art. 7
Jury
1.The direction of the festival will appoint a jury composed of a jury president and four jurors. The voting operations of the jurors will be attended by a representative of the festival management with functions, exclusively and exclusively, to assist with regulation and practice.
2.The jury's decisions are incontestable and unappealable.
Art. 8
Winners
The award-winning authors and producers undertake to mention the attribution of recognition in the titles of films and documentaries, on the title page of all communication material and on all social media, none excluded.
Art. 9
Award ceremony
The award ceremony is scheduled for the evening of August 29, 2021.
Art. 10
Awards
1.The jury will award the following prizes:
Main categories:
•Best short world
•Best short Sicily
•Best documentary
Absolute prizes:
•Best Short Cibo Corto 2021
• Best direction
• Best original screenplay
• Best editing
• Best photography
• Best leading actor/actress
• Best soundtrack
2.The Awards will consist of the delivery of a plaque or craft work and the maximum media coverage of the work by the organization.
Art. 11
Arbitrary clauses
1.Any dispute that may arise between the participants and the Organization must be devolved to the unappealable determination of an arbitration panel made up of three friendly referees composers, who will judge "ex bono et aequo" without procedural formalities, without prejudice to the contradictory of the parties , within 60 days of appointment.
2.Their determination will have the effect of an agreement directly reached between the parties.
3.The arbitrators are appointed one by each of the parties and the third by the first two or in the absence of an agreement, by the president of the Court of Catania, who will also appoint the arbitrator for the part that has not done so.
Art. 12
Final provisions release
1. The authors and / or the productions of the works in competition must authorize their projection and their diffusion (on TV, press, radio, posters, internet, etc.), even in part, for the promotional purposes of the event.
2. To access any channels of dissemination of the work identified by the Organization, the member will be called to declare explicit consent. The refusal of this consent is not prejudicial to participation in the race.
3. It is the faculty of the Organization to select some works for projection in the context of other national or international festivals.
Art. 13
Obligations of members
1.The subscriber accepts in all its parts and without conditions these Regulations. Any irregularity or non-fulfillment will invalidate participation in the tender. Upon registration, the subscriber must also sign the information for the processing of personal data (Annex A).
2.The subscriber is responsible for the content of the works presented, for any copyrights of third parties and in particular for the rights regarding the privacy of the subjects involved in the proposed artistic works.
3.The subscriber personally assumes responsibility for the truthfulness of the information indicated.
4.The subscriber is liable for any violations of copyright or privacy.
5.The intellectual property of the works and the consequent rights remain with the authors.
6.The author guarantees to be the only and exclusive creator and creator of the submitted works.
7.The author and / or producer, in accordance with the rules established on copyright, guarantee that the work in competition is free of any artistic property rights or rights that could belong to third parties and undertake to protect the organizers against any action that could be brought against them by the entitled parties. Furthermore, for scenes that portray people and / or things for which specific consent is required, the author and / or producer declares to have obtained the necessary consent (also, where due, pursuant to Legislative Decree no. N 196/2003, "Code regarding the protection of personal data") for participation in this competition and for conferring on the organization the rights referred to in these Regulations.
Art. 14
Privacy
The information stored in our archive will be used for participation in the competition and for sending information material for promotional purposes related to the festival. There is the possibility of requesting their correction or cancellation, as required by the Italian law 675/96 on the protection of personal data.
Art. 15
Final indications
1.For reasons of force majeure, technical-organizational problems, to make improvements or in the event of unforeseen exceptions, the organization may modify these Regulations by communicating their information on the event website.
2.The organization also reserves the right to cancel the event if unexpected events, organizational difficulties and / or adverse weather conditions arise.
3.Although not explicitly stated, the organization of the competition is empowered to decide independently.

BANDO DI CONCORSO E REGOLAMENTO
Art. 1
Luogo e data di svolgimento
La seconda edizione di CIBO CORTO CINE FESTIVAL INTERNAZONALE si svolgerà a Portopalo di Capo Passero (Sr) nei giorni 26, 27, 28 e 29 agosto 2021.
Art. 2
Organizzazione e tema del concorso
1.Le opere audiovisive in concorso, della tipologia di seguito riportata, devono avere come tema, soggetto o protagonista principale il cibo e le bevande che potrà essere trattato liberamente nelle più svariate rappresentazioni.
2.La giuria si riserva la facoltà di cambiare categoría di appartenenza dandone preavviso al regista e/o produttore.
Art. 3
Termini e modalità d'iscrizione:
1. L’iscrizione al Festival è a pagamento, le tariffe sono consultabili su https://filmfreeway.com/CiboCorto
2. Le opere non devono essere state presentate nel circuito commerciale italiano
3. L’inedito e l’anteprima nazionale sono considerati elementi preferenziali nella fase di selezione
4. Tutte le opere dovranno essere munite di sottotitoli in inglese.
5. Tutte le opere non in lingua italiana che saranno in finale dovranno essere munite di sottotitoli in italiano.
Art. 4
Invio del materiale
1. Tutto il materiale di cui sopra dovrà essere inviato, tramite il portale FilmFreeway, (https://filmfreeway.com/CiboCorto) inderogabilmente entro e non oltre il 31 Maggio 2021
2. I lavori che perverranno oltre la data indicata non verranno presi in considerazione.
Si declina ogni responsabilità del mancato funzionamento telematico.
Art. 5
Condizioni di ammissibilità alla selezione
1. Tutte le opere audiovisive presentati devono essere stati completati dopo il 1 Gennaio 2018
2. La durata delle opere dovrà essere:
- cortometraggio dai 3 a 20 minuti.
- documentario: durata massima 26 minuti.
Per tutte le opere i titoli di testa/coda devono essere inclusi nei tempi previsti, tolleranza di 10 secondi.
Il materiale inviato verrà conservato presso gli archivi della Associazione CAP 96010 a fini di studio, promozionali o per essere oggetto di altre rassegne, nel qual caso la Direzione provvederà a prendere accordi con gli aventi diritto.
Art. 6
Selezione delle opere
1. La Direzione del festival comunicherà a tutti i finalisti gli esiti della selezione tramite posta elettronica, all’indirizzo indicato dagli iscritti, entro il 1 Luglio 2021.
2. Gli autori prescelti dovranno quindi inviare, via e-mail all’indirizzo info@cibocorto.com il seguente materiale inderogabilmente entro e non oltre il 30 Luglio 2021, pena l’esclusione dal concorso:
a. il link dal quale scaricare la copia dell’opera da proiettare durante il festival in formato: .mov o .m4v o .mpeg al fine di effettuare le prove tecniche.
b. Sottotitoli in italiano (per le opere non italiane) e sottotitoli in inglese in formato SRT
c. Allegato A per il trattamento dei dati e liberatoria alla proiezione.

e. Trailer ove presente
La Direzione si riserva il diritto di chiedere la sostituzione delle copie che a tale controllo risultino inadeguate ad una buona proiezione pubblica.
3. Tutte le opere finaliste verranno proiettate nelle giornate del Festival seguite da una intervista con gli autori o un rappresentante in carica, se presenti.
4. La Giuria avrà la discrezione di accettare opere nella sezione FUORI CONCORSO; esse saranno prese in considerazione per una proiezione al di fuori del concorso.
5. I premi verranno assegnati durante la serata finale, 29 agosto 2021.
Art. 7
Giuria
1. La Direzione del festival nominerà una Giuria composta da un presidente di giuria e quattro giurati. Alle operazioni di voto dei giurati presenzierà un rappresentante della Direzione del festival con funzioni, solo ed esclusivamente, di assistenza in materia di regolamento e prassi.
2. Le decisioni della Giuria sono incontestabili ed inappellabili.
Art. 8
Vincitori
Gli autori e produttori premiati si impegnano menzionare l’attribuzione del riconoscimento nei titoli dei film e dei documentari, nel frontespizio di tutto il materiale di comunicazione e su tutti i social media, nessuno escluso.
Art. 9
Cerimonia di premiazione
La premiazione è prevista per la sera del 29 agosto 2021.
Art. 10
Premi
La giuria assegnerà i seguenti premi:
• Categoria cortometraggio mondo
• Categoria cortometraggio Sicilia
• Categoria documentario
Premi assoluti:
• Miglior Cibo Corto 2021
• Miglior regia
• Miglior sceneggiatura originale
• Miglior montaggio
• Miglior fotografia
• Miglior attore/attrice protagonista
• Miglior colonna Sonora
I Premi consisteranno nella consegna di una targa o opera artigianale e nella massima diffusione mediatica dell’opera da parte dell’organizzazione.
Art. 11
Clausole arbitrarie
1. Qualsiasi controversia dovesse sorgere tra i partecipanti e l’Organizzazione deve essere devoluta alla determinazione inappellabile di un collegio arbitrale formato da tre arbitri amichevoli compositori, i quali giudicheranno “ex bono et aequo” senza formalità di procedura, fatto salvo il contraddittorio delle parti, entro 60 giorni dalla nomina.
2. La loro determinazione avrà effetto di accordo direttamente raggiunto tra le parti.
3. Gli arbitri sono nominati uno da ciascuna delle parti ed il terzo dai primi due o in difetto di accordo, dal presidente del Tribunale di Catania, il quale nominerà anche l’arbitro per la parte che non vi abbia provveduto.
Art. 12
Disposizioni finali
Liberatoria
1. Gli autori e/o le produzioni delle opere in concorso devono autorizzarne la proiezione e la loro diffusione (su tv, stampa, radio, manifesti, internet, ecc.), anche in parte, per gli scopi promozionali della manifestazione.
2. Per accedere ad eventuali canali di diffusione dell’opera individuati dall’Organizzazione, l’iscritto sarà chiamato a dichiarare esplicito consenso. Il diniego di questo consenso non è pregiudizievole della partecipazione alla Gara.
3. È facoltà dell’Organizzazione selezionare alcune opere per la proiezione nell’ambito di altri festival nazionali/internazionali, rassegne cinematografiche o eventi in linea con il tema dell’opera.
Art. 13
Obblighi degli iscritti
1. L’iscritto accetta in ogni sua parte e senza condizioni il presente Regolamento. Qualsiasi irregolarità o inadempimento renderà nulla la partecipazione alla gara. All’atto della registrazione il finalista dovrà sottoscrivere anche l’informativa per il trattamento dei dati personali (Allegato A).
2. L’iscritto è responsabile del contenuto delle opere presentate, di eventuali diritti d’autore di terzi e in particolare dei diritti riguardanti la privacy dei soggetti coinvolti nelle opere artistiche proposte.
3. L’iscritto si assume personalmente la responsabilità della veridicità delle informazioni indicate.
4. L’iscritto risponde per eventuali violazioni dei diritti d’autore o della privacy.
5. La proprietà intellettuale dei lavori ed i conseguenti diritti restano in capo agli autori.
6. L’autore garantisce di essere unico ed esclusivo creatore ed ideatore dei lavori inviati.
7. L’autore e/o produttore, in conformità con le regole stabilite in materia di copyright, garantiscono che l’opera in concorso è esente da qualsiasi diritto di proprietà artistica o dai diritti che potrebbero appartenere a terzi e si impegnano a tutelare gli organizzatori contro qualsiasi azione che potrebbe essere esercitata contro di loro dagli aventi diritto. Inoltre per le scene che ritraggono persone e/o cose per le quali è necessario ottenere uno specifico assenso, l’autore e/o produttore dichiara di aver ottenuto l’assenso necessario (anche, ove dovuto, ai sensi del d. lgs. N. 196/2003, “Codice in materia di protezione dei dati personali”) per la partecipazione al presente concorso e per il conferimento all’organizzazione dei diritti di cui al presente Regolamento.
Art. 14
Privacy
Le informazioni custodite nel nostro archivio saranno utilizzate per la partecipazione al concorso e per l'invio del materiale informativo per fini promozionali inerenti al festival. È prevista la possibilità di richiederne la rettifica o cancellazione, come previsto dalla legge italiana 675/96 sulla tutela dei dati personali.
Art. 15
Indicazioni finali
1. Per causa di forza maggiore, per problemi tecnico-organizzativi, per apportare migliorie o in caso di eccezioni non previste, l’organizzazione potrà modificare il presente Regolamento comunicandone l’informazione sul sito della manifestazione.
2. L’organizzazione si riserva inoltre la possibilità di annullare la manifestazione qualora sopraggiungessero imprevisti, difficoltà organizzative e/o condizioni meteo avverse.
3. Per quanto non esplicitamente dichiarato, l’organizzazione del concorso è abilitata a decidere in piena autonomia.
