Cinema Culturas Festival screens award-winning Latino films, feature films, documentaries, shorts & animation, with a focus on independent film. With the purpose of celebrating the creative talent of our local students, Cinema Culturas has a student film competition. All students, regardless of ethnicity, are welcome to submit their work to our student film competition.
CALLING ALL K-12 STUDENTS TO "KEEP ON DREAMING IN CHALLENGING TIMES", TO TELL THEIR STORY. CINEMA CULTURAS INVITES STUDENTS TO PARTICIPATE IN ITS "KEEP ON DREAMING IN CHALLENGING TIMES" STORYTELLING AND FILM COMPETITION.
Tell us a story on what you do to "Keep on dreaming in challenging times" or a story on how science helps us "Keep on dreaming in challenging times". Your short film can be science or nonscience focused, and can it be in English, Spanish or Purepecha.

The winning films will be screened online at Cinema Culturas.
Prizes will be awarded for 1st place ($150.00 US gift card) 2nd place ($100.00 US gift card) and 3rd place ($50.00 US gift card).
