Article 1:
The Cineclubs National Federation in Morocco organizes Casablanca Cineville film festival, with Casablanca-Settat Council‘s supervision.
The Festival is an international film event aimed to :
• Promote the knowledge and dissemination of the film productions from the worldwide.
• Create an atmosphere for meeting and exchange between professionals from all over the world.
• Create a communication framework between cinema professionals and Casablanca-Settat Council‘s to develop and promote the industry.
• Encourage the region’s young talents to improve their artistic creation.
Article 2:
The second edition of the Festival will take place from 24 to 28 September 2019 in Casablanca.
Article 3
The CineClubs National Federation in Morocco takes in charge the international competition films selection, Panorama films selection, and all the programmed activities.
Article 4
The Cineville film festival second edition’s program includes the following activities:
• The Official Competition for International Feature Films related to the theme "Cinema and City".
• A seminar on the theme "cinema and city".
• A cinematographic caravan.
• French feature films Panorama.
• Children screening.
• Script and direction workshops.
• Tributes.
Article 5
Feature films participating in the official competition must be:
• Films must be produced after January 2017.
• In DCP or Blu-Ray format,
• In original version subtitled in Arabic, or in French or English.
Article 6
The festival will cover the cost of accommodation and catering for the director, and the main actor or actress of the film candidate for the official competition.
Article 7
The jury is composed of renowned national and international personalities in the fields of cinema, culture and the arts.
Individuals participating in a way or another in the production or the broadcasting of films participating to the competition cannot in any case be part of the jury.
Article 8
The official competition’s jury awards the following prizes:
• Casablanca Grand Prix
• The Special Jury Prize
• Best Female Performance Award
• The Best Male Performance Award
It will not be awarded ex-aequo.
Article 9
Participation in the festival implies adherence to these rules.
Article 10
The festival’s direction can decide on matters not provided in the present regulations.
