The Festival is a competition for documentary films from all over Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan).

The Festival will give the following awards:

- Best Film
- Best Director
- Best Cinematography
- Audience Award (selected by public voting)

The jury may also decide to award special certificates.

Terms and rules

The submissions for the competition must be
features (over 60 minutes) or shorts (less than 40 minutes) filmed:

- in Central Asia, or
- by Central Asian filmmakers, but concerning subjects unrelated to Central Asia; or
- by filmmakers from other regions, but placed in Central Asia and concerning subjects of relevance to the region.

All entries must be submitted online.
