The Iowa Theater is now accepting short film entries for the Cinematic Madison County contest to be held during the 48th Annual Madison County Covered Bridge Festival, October 14-15, 2017. All ages and skill levels encouraged to submit. Up to ten films will be selected to screen at the recently reopened historic Iowa Theater (121 North John Wayne Drive, Winterset, IA) during the Covered Bridge Festival.

Visit the Madison County Covered Bridge Festival to experience the world famous covered bridges, crafts and old-time demonstrations, annual quilt and car shows, cowboys from the wild west, continuous entertainment, family fun — and the many people and places that make Madison County a very special place to visit and a beautiful place to call “home.”
Audiences will vote for their favorite film and the winning film will be screened prior to all screenings at the Iowa for the remainder of 2017. Winning filmmakers will also receive a prize pack from the Iowa Theater valued at $100!
