GENERAL RULES & TERMS
The Fifth Dead And SudBuried will take place from 24th to 25th October 2020 at The Quay Theatre, Sudbury, Suffolk.
SUBMISSIONS
All submissions should fall within the 'horror' genre umbrella. Submissions can only be made through the FilmFreeway website. Films must have been completed after January 2019.
SUBMISSION DEADLINES
Submissions will be accepted from 8th November 2019. Deadlines are final, please ensure your deadlines are submitted before the closing date of 31st July 2020.
SUBMISSION FORMAT
Films must be submitted via online screener. All films must be in English or include English subtitles.
SUBMISSION FEES
All FilmFreeway submissions fare to be paid by via FilmFreeway. The submission fee is final and non-refundable.
SHIPPING
All shipping and postage costs, if the film is selected for movies and additional materials sent to and/or returned must be covered by the submitting party.
NOTIFICATION
We will complete all selection procedures by 7th August 2020 and inform submitting parties if their film has been successful. Successful submissions will receive relevant shipping information.
SCREENINGS
Selected films MUST provide a Bluray or high res digital file in order to be screened at Dead And SudBuried. Delivery of feature films must be via physical media (hard drive or USB). Short films can be accepted via online file transfer. The screening copy of the film must be received no later than 21 days prior to screening date.
SCHEDULING
Screenings are scheduled during the Festival at our discretion. Whilst every effort will be made to adhere to the published schedule, we reserve the right to make changes at any time for any reason. Dead And SudBuried will not be liable for any costs claimed as a result of a change in scheduling. No film may be withdrawn from the festival programme after its selection.
PUBLICITY AND PRESS
By submitting to Dead And SudBuried you agree to the use of stills in press and publicity for the festival. These may be included in our official programme, press releases, on our website plus all social media platforms.
By submitting to Dead And SudBuried you confirm that you have read and accept all terms and regulations of the festival. You will provide the festival with any additional information required pursuant to these rules and regulations. You authorise Dead And SudBuried to exhibit your film, and if selected, confirm that an exhibition copy will be available in required format for screening during the festival. You certify that you hold all necessary rights for the submission of this film/video and that all rights and clearances have been made. You hereby agree to indemnify Dead And SudBuried, in the event that such rights have not been properly transferred. Films submitted AND accepted to the festival must be guaranteed and cannot be withdrawn from the festival under any circumstances.
