After our inaugural edition, Desenzano Film Festival comes back with its peculiar format to bring the best of world independent short cinema on Lake Garda, in a gala night and award ceremony in an 18th century theatre in the center of our city.
𝗜𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗡𝗧, 𝗛𝗘𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗢𝗚𝗘𝗡𝗘𝗢𝗨𝗦, 𝗙𝗔𝗜𝗥
In times in which emerging filmmakers without support struggle to emerge and to show they work to a worldwide public, our goal is to bring together in a prestigious location independent films from young authors, experimental shorts and international shorts, promoting a fruitful meeting between future generation directors and acclaimed professionals from the industry.
𝗘𝗫𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗘, 𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗖𝗨𝗦𝗦, 𝗗𝗘𝗕𝗔𝗧𝗘, 𝗚𝗥𝗢𝗪
During our Gala Night, our guests, public and jurors will have dinner together in the 18th century's Teatro Alberti in the center of Desenzano on Lake Garda, and watch the screening and award ceremony in an an atmosphere which promotes dialogue, exchange of contacts, debate and team building.
One day dedicated to brilliant debut filmmakers under 25, filmmakers from Lombardia and internationally acclaimed directors, in a heterogeneous symposium in which films are the topic of conversation and the chance to meet new people and future colleagues.
Experimental films will frame the event by being screened all around the theatre for all the duration of the festival.

Franco Piavoli - Director
Born in 1933, he directed "Il Pianeta Azzurro" in competition at the 50th edition of Venice Film Festival and defined by Andrej Tarkovskij "a masterpiece in absolute solitude".
Ondina Quadri - Actress
Born in 1994, she won the italian Golden Globe in 2016 for the role played in the movie "Arianna" directed by Carlo Lavagna. She also works on "Capri-Revolution" by Carlo Martone and "Le notti magiche" by Paolo Virzì.
Maura Morales Bergman - Cinematographer
Born in 1979, she is the director of photography of the last documentary "Santiago, Italia" directed by Nanni Moretti. She also directed her own documentary "Entierros" in 2017.
Stefano Cravero - Editor
Born in 1977, Nominee David Donatello for editing "Nico 1988" by Susanna Nicchiarelli in 2018. In the same year he co-directed his own documentary "Country for old men" with Pietro Jona.
