About the festival

DocYourWorld is a festival produced and curated by students in an interactive documentary class at Columbia College Chicago. Made up of journalists, television and film students, the disciplines work together to produce a two day documentary festival at the end of the school year. The students work with panelists, documentarians and professionals to curate a group of work around each year’s chosen theme.

This year students created an event titled In/Divisible, which focuses on the current state of the U.S. social and political climate. In terms of democracy, the election, economic inequality, the educational system and cultural mosaics, the event will help to both educate and inspire the attendees on these current issues. It will feature work across all forms of media, including but not limited to: film, photography, performance, panels, and workshops. Located in the 1104 S. Wabash building, the event will run for two days on May 9 and 10 and will be open to the public.
