C’est un événement ouvert à tous, notamment aux grands fans de fantastique, au niveau national et international.
L’intérêt du festival du fantastique est de valoriser l’image de l’IUT de Béziers et de l’Université de Montpellier. Le projet a pris naissance sous l’impulsion du département MMI de l’IUT de Béziers et notamment de M. Sandy Blanco.
Ce festival comptera un concours de courts-métrages, d’affiches et de nouvelles. Une remise des prix (diplômes, trophées et autres lots) sera prévue, afin de valoriser le travail produit mais également d’en motiver plus d’un à expérimenter et se surpasser dans ses réalisations. Les courts-métrages sélectionnés par le jury seront diffusés le vendredi 12 juin 2020.
Les organisateurs entendent par film relevant de la catégorie « film fantastique » : Les œuvres présentées doivent appartenir au genre fantastique, excluant des variantes comme l'heroic fantasy ou la science fiction. Les participants au concours garantissent à l'organisateur l'originalité de leurs œuvres ainsi que l’originalité du scénario.
Court métrage :
Libre à vous de créer un court-métrage autour du fantastique et du thème « le fantastique et la mer ». Votre court-métrage devra avoir une durée :
• Minimum 1 minute
• Maximum 12 minutes
Les courts-métrages soumis devront être en Français ou sous-titrées en Français.
Affiche :
Libre à vous de créer affiche autour du fantastique et du thème « le fantastique et la mer ». Vous êtes libre d'utiliser les logiciels de vos préférences. L'affiche devra être format : A1 ou A3
Nouvelle :
Libre à vous de créer une nouvelle originale et inédite, impérativement en langue française, autour du fantastique et du thème « le fantastique et la mer ». Elle devra faire :
• Minimum 6 750 caractères
• Maximum 11 250 caractères
Attention : les soumissions qui ne respectent pas le genre fantastique et la thématique "Fantastique et la mer", ainsi que la contrainte de la langue : nouvelles en Français ; Court-métrage en Français ou sous-titrés en Français seront automatiquement rejetées.

It's an event open to all, including big fans of fantasy, both nationally and internationally.
The interest of the fantasy festival is to promote the image of the IUT of Béziers and the University of Montpellier. The project was born under the impulse of the MMI department of the IUT of Béziers and in particular of Mr. Sandy Blanco.
The festival will include a competition for short films, posters and short stories. In order to promote the work produced but also to motivate more than one person to experiment and surpass themselves in their achievements, a prize-giving ceremony (diplomas, trophies and other prizes) will be organised. The short films selected by the jury will be screened on Friday 12th June 2020.
The works submitted must belong to the fantasy genre, excluding variants such as heroic fantasy or science fiction. Contest participants guarantee to the organizer the originality of their works as well as the originality of the script.
Short film:
We invite you to create a short film around the theme of fantasy and the sea. Your short film must have a duration of 1 minute minimum to 12 minutes maximum.
Short films submitted must be in French or with French subtitles.
Poster:
We invite you to create a poster around the theme of fantasy and the sea. You are free to use the software applications of your choice. The poster should be in A1 or A3 format.
Short story:
We invite you to create an original and unpublished short story, in French language EXCLUSIVELY, around the theme of fantasy and the sea. It must be between 6750 characters minimum and 11,250 characters maximum.
Warning: Submissions that do not respect the fantasy genre and the theme "Fantasy and the sea", as well as the constraint of French for the short stories and the short films or short films with French subtitles, will be automatically rejected.
