About the festival

The FQD is an annual event dedicated to the creation of artistic events in contemporary dance and the art of movement. Its mission is to democratize contemporary dance in all its forms and hybridities by making it more accessible to all audiences in both traditional and unusual venues. The FQD is known for presenting artists who are mainly local, but also national and international. It adopts a multidisciplinary approach to creative dance through the presentation of shows, performances, installations, films, exhibitions, meetings, round tables and cultural mediation workshops.

Conditions of admissibility :

Propose an original short film that can be presented as a world or Montreal premiere at the FQD.
The short film must be recent, i.e. created within the last 2 years.
The short film must feature or have as its theme dance.
From 1 to 15 minutes in length

Documents to be provided

The completed form;
A letter of interest to participate in the 18th edition of the festival in which it is specified that you apply to the short film component, the description of your project and your artistic approach;
A biography of the director or company and a curriculum vitae;
The entire short film proposed.
