The Foothills Film Festival will take place January 15-16, 2021. In its inaugural year, the Foothills Film Festival is excited to spotlight indie films that display storytelling in a unique, diverse and tasteful manner. This festival encourages emerging filmmakers with connections to North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Virginia, Florida and Alabama to submit their short films, which will be judged by our esteemed panel. The Foothills Film Festival welcomes works from all categories so long as they abide by the guidelines listed under the “Rules and Regulations” section outlined below.
The FFF focuses on films from or about the Southeast that captivate both the audience and the judges. The FFF is committed to creating an environment that encourages emerging film makers as well as those who have dedicated themselves to film-making over the years.
This festival will be one to remember and will feature short films from multiple categories. Each filmmaker selected will receive four (4) tickets to the two-day event that will include admission to our evening cocktail awards reception that will take place on second night.
The Foothills Film Festival will be held at The LeGrand Center in Shelby, NC. Should social distancing due to Covid-19 still be in effect, The Foothills Film Festival should not be impacted because of the vast amount of space the venue provides.
An "Award Of Excellence" and an "Audience Choice Award" will be given in the following categories:
Drama/Thriller/Suspense
Comedy
Horror/Sci-Fi
Documentary
Animation
An award will also be given to "Best Of The Carolinas"
The Foothills Film Festival reserves the right to alter the above awards in a way that best reflects the films which have been submitted.
