About the festival

Frame & Frequency VI is an ongoing International Film & Video Art Screening Series presented by VisArts located in Rockville, Maryland (just outside of Washington DC) that highlights artists whose new media, experimental film, and video works explore contemporary visual culture, and presents an intimate panorama of the variety and breadth of video art in artistic practice today.

In response to the state and county’s efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19, this years festival has been postponed to open to the public until September 5th - 6th.

Frame & Frequency aims to present a diverse group of artists representing multi-generational and cultural backgrounds, nationalities and personal histories, while demonstrating the artists’ impressive command of video and new media technologies.

All selected artists will receive $50 screening fees

Terms and rules

Videos not in excess of 30 minutes are requested.

Video, film, and new media work will be accepted: Experimental, documentary, animation, narrative, non-narrative, multimedia, VR (Google Cardboard & iPhone compatible), digital imaging, net art, interactive media, sound art, etc.

All foreign language artworks must have English subtitles.
