Welcome to the Franklin International Indie Film Festival (FIIFF) PLEASE NOTE OUR EVENT DATE CHANGE DUE TO COVID 19.
FESTIVAL DATES ARE DECEMBER 1-5, 2020.
FIIFF is located in Franklin, Tennessee, a unique, historic town in the greater Nashville metropolitan area. Filmmakers and celebrities alike will enjoy the ambiance, fraternity, and social experience that comes with FIIFF with films screening at the historic landmark, "The Factory."
The Venue, in the historic downtown is definitely where everything happens from celebrated music venues like Kimbros Pickin Parlor to awesome local restaurants and bars.
Our state, number seven in the nation in film l/media/entertainment industry jobs is definitely worth a visit to see what & where the opportunities are. Whether attending the festival or planning your next film project, we will introduce filmmakers, film workers, and audience members to Franklin/Williamson County where anything is possible and cultural arts are a priority.
Our festival staff is well trained and highly motivated, our filmmakers and film workers are here to welcome you, and our community is ready to celebrate your work. The competition is open to U.S. and International entries.

Terms and rules

By entering the 2020 Franklin International Indie Film Festival (FIIFF) competition you agree to the following conditions:
Entrants must be 18 years or over or include verifiable permission from parent or guardian
FIIFF 2020 Competition is open to residents of all countries unless otherwise stated.
Competition is not available to FIIFF staff or their immediate families
Entries are generally limited to one per filmmaker unless they are individual episodes of a web series and will be under 10 minutes in length.
Each entry must be accompanied by the required entry/submission fee.
End date is specified on individual competition.
FIIFF reserves the right to amend the end date at any time.
By entering the FIIFF competition, the winner agrees to participate in promotional activity where required.
Award certificates or prizes are non transferrable to another person
Travel/per diem expenses are NOT included for FIIFF 2020
If the advertised prize becomes unavailable, FIIFF reserves the right to offer and This festival competition is managed and directed by FIIFF & Tennessee Women in Film & Media and sposored by the Williamson County Cultural Arts Commission.
By submitting your project to FIIFF 2020 you agree to be contacted for promotional purposes.
No personal data will be shared with third parties unless stated otherwise.
FIIFF reserves the right to amend the competitions at any time.
Prizes will be sent in a timely manner after conclusion of FIIFF 2020.
Entrant agrees to submit entries that are her/his own original work. Competition entrant must not violate, plagiarize, or infringe any copyright, trade mark, trade secrets, privacy and publicity, personal or proprietary rights. All music and score must be original or cleared.
When "Entrant" submits a project, they agree to allow FIIFF to use the material in a reasonable way on a fee-free basis in any media throughout the world.

Any copyright in the contribution will remain with the Entrant and this permission is not exclusive, including the entrant allowing another to use it.

Narrative, Live Action Drama, Comedy and/or Documentary. Student films are not accepted in the feature category. Run time including credits is 110 minutes or less Runtime includes credits may not exceed 110 minutes

Student must be currently enrolled or have been a student within the 2019-2020 school year. Films must have completed post-production within twelve months prior to December 31, 2019 Live action drama, comedy, music, animated short films and/or documentary short length films under 20 minutes will be accepted. Please note that Runtime includes credits. Further instructions regarding delivery of final film will be provided after acceptance to the festival.

Purpose- Based Films Short and Feature Format No more than 120 minutes in Length. The films will be Documentary, Music and/or Narrative.

Visual media that is specifically produced to showcase a particular artist or band. If the language is from a country outside the USA and other English speaking cultures, subtitles in English must be included after the filmmaker is notified that their submission has been accepted to the festival. The submitter must have permission from the band or solo artist to submit to FIFFF

Original Screenplay/Script 30 pages or less. Narrative Drama and Comedy Screenplay/Scripts are accepted. The work may be created from 2017 to date of submission.

Animated Short Film

Animated Short films under 15 minutes in length with a highly creative story and drawn in a form both sylistic and compeling .

New Online Media Content

The growth of Online Internet video for entertainment as a stand alone or part of an episodic series created for the online market has provided platforms to help elevate projects in this category. The submissions must be under 20 minutes in length and must be created for streaming and/or internet platform content.
