MONTHLY ONLINE FESTIVAL WITH AWARDS AND LIVE SCREENINGS. Our panel is made up of film indie filmmakers from Colorado and California. We wanted to create a place where student, indie, and professionals can share their work together, and receive awards with equal consideration. We strive to support filmmakers who are innovative and changing the future of cinema. We give out many awards every month to ensure filmmakers are considered fairly against high budget films, and recognized for what they accomplished without a large budget. This is a contest by filmmakers for filmmakers.
WINNERS will have a live screening in Colorado. OFFICIAL SELECTIONS and FINALISTS will only be eligible to participate in the online portion.
**PLEASE READ BELOW: WHAT FILMMAKERS CAN EXPECT FROM THEIR FROSTBITE SUBMISSION**
OFFICIAL SELECTIONS: will have their film's poster as well as their name country of origin posted on our website indefinitely. Official Selections will NOT be screened live.
FINALISTS: We will choose the top few finalists for every category before the end of the month. If you do not receive a notification on FilmFreeway and an e-mail notification from us by the end of the "event date" for the month after you submitted, your work remains in the top few elite for this month, and you can find your finalist laurel on our website's "selections" page. Finalists will NOT be screened live.
AWARD WINNERS: Will be screened live at Sneakyboy Studios in Colorado for an audience of local filmmakers and film lovers. We will have 1-2 screenings per month, but winners will not always be screened on the month they were selected. Their film or their trailer will be displayed on the "Winners" page of our website indefinitely, they will be featured on our Frostbite Instagram page "frostbiteindiefest," and their laurels will be sent to them via e-mail.
ALL SELECTIONS: who request it may receive feedback and critique from our judging panel, and will be added to our feedback list.
HERE'S AN EXAMPLE OF WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT: July selections will be decided by July notification date. July Winners will be decided by the first week of August.
We share our winners with thousands online at the end of each season. International & domestic submissions will be screened in front of our judging panel. Selections and Winners will be displayed on our website indefinitely, and will receive award laurels. Students and Independent filmmakers can make their visions come true without a huge budget, and we want to see your incredible work.
Film is the most powerful form of propaganda, and this makes it the most potent art-form. Create with innovation, and do not be afraid to tell your story experimentally. Our panel is made up of film scholars, and they want to see and share your work regardless of its level of experimentation.
