About the festival

This is the fourth edition of Spacejunk Art Centers’ ambitious film festival dedicated to street art. The objective of this year’s festival is to allow the public to discover the history and techniques of the discipline, as well as some of today’s many different forms of audiovisual production and expression. After the first edition’s powerful, eclectic programming, the 2018 edition really took things to the next level with nearly 12 hours of free outdoor cinema, the arrival of international directors to debate with the audience, and also the real-time creation of a stop-motion film by director and street artist Kiptoe.

2019’s edition of the Street Art MOVIE Fest is being held alongside the Grenoble Alps Street Art Festival. The Street Art MOVIE Fest runs over three days to showcase the history, artists and techniques of street art culture in cinema. The SpaceJunk team has made a selection of different works and video formats that highlight the discipline. A total of 4 feature films and some 15 short films and animated films, in addition to less traditional formats such as time-lapses and animated gifs, will be presented from May 31 to June 2, 2019 at the Jardin de Ville de Grenoble. This festive and central location will be transformed into a real open-air cinema. All screenings are free and open to all!

The Street Art MOVIE Fest also includes meetings with filmmakers, a time-lapse workshop in partnership with Enlaps and La Cinémathèque de Grenoble which will take place on Tuesday 4 June from 4pm to 6pm, and the creation of original audiovisual content, thanks to Imer who will be coming along to produce an animated graffiti live.

Feature Films: First Prize
Short films: First prize
Animated Films: First Prize
