The inaugural Hellbender Student Film Festival comes to the campus of Lindenwood University (St. Charles, MO) in November 2020. Our mission is to highlight the best student film and video work from Missouri, the US, and the world - high school, undergraduate, and graduate. All screenings are open to the public so we look forward to seeing you there.
In addition to our narrative, documentary, animated short, and music video categories, we have created a special student program - Life in the Time of Coronavirus. We want to see your creative work as reflected through the anxiety, disturbance, and upheaval that have accompanied the rise (and hopefully the fall) of the coronavirus. Share your fiction, documentary, and experimental projects with us. We want our festival to not only serve as a showcase for the best of student film and video, but also a time capsule of its inaugural year. (Films must have been produced after January 2020 and be directly related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Submissions that don't match those criteria will be disqualified from the category.)
