The HEX Film Festival is an exciting opportunity to screen your Halloween, entertainment, scoff or horror themed film. The live screening festival is held in Calgary Oct 15-18, 2020. The festival features a banquet of today's new independent films. Located just an hour from picturesque Banff, Canada, HEX After Dark is the largest Halloween Film Festival in Western Canada. The festival is held during Calgary's Halloween & Entertainment Expo which features haunted experiences, live theatre, Halloween retail spaces, and a number of headline celebrities. Last year the expo attracted over 10,000 people and some great celebrities. We look forward to hosting industry guests including distribution companies and halloween / horror related media contacts, and of course - our film makers. A mixer between film makers, celebrities, and industry people will be held during the event. A tour will be arranged of various unique locations and filming studious in Calgary. The mission of the HEX Film Festival is to promote the artistry of independent films made in the spirit of creativity, provide exposure for talented visionary filmmakers, and celebrate a collective passion for Halloween.
Held in the thriving city of Calgary, this destination event features four days of independent genre films from around the world, as well as networking opportunities and extensive media exposure.
We are looking for full length and short films that showcase all there is to love about Halloween. Films are divided into short and feature film categories.
