About the festival

A Los Angeles Film Festival with a French Touch: the Hollywood Art and Movie Awards is the new generation festival in the City of Angels.
Our priority is: the QnA. YOU get to talk and promote your work.

So Far our 2021 edition is scheduled like usual for January. We are accepting submissions, and we to stand our ground to support the filmmakers. We review the films, we promote the filmmakers. January 2021 is a long way. By that time the Virus will be behind us and we'll celebrate our 4th edition.
Cheers to all struggling filmmakers around. We're in the same club here!

2020 edition took place in Santa Monica.
2019 edition took place in Hollywood.
2018 edition took place in Burbank, Long Beach and Pasadena.

Our Line up included:
- WILLIAM BALDWIN, which movie TALK won Revelation Filmmaker for Romuald Boulanger, January 2020.
- JANSEN PANETTIERE (Hayden Panettiere's brother -Nashville, Heroes-) as a Judge and exhibiting artist. Jansen attended the festival and was on stage to present several awards.
- RICHARD BLAKE, multi-awarded director, who was a panelist to the festival a week after his feature film THE ROCKET got available worldwide.
- WENDY ALANE WRIGHT, the famous talent manager, who gave powerful tips and insights during the Long Beach talk
- MOLLY KASH, producer and board member of ISA (International Script Association) was a Judge
- AUREGAN, singer-songwriter-performer, who recorded with Billy Ray Cyrus and Iggy Pop, was a Judge and presented several awards during the closing night.
- Almost 20 awards were presented
- the festival offered many networking, live music and shows, stand up comedy, plenty of screenings and of course a QnA after EACH and EVERY screening.

We are recognized for our quality time QnAs, and connection with industry professionals and for the support we give to filmmakers.

HISTORY
Back in 2015 was created the Paris Art and Movie Awards, aka "PAMA", founded by Matt Beurois, mutli-awarded director and producer, whose directorial debut got a distribution deal by Gravitas Ventures.
The Paris Art and Movie Awards today is the leading independent film festival in Paris. Its twin brother in Hollywood, the "HAMA" benefits from an incredible and international network aiming to support the independent filmmakers.

Submitting to the "HAMA" or the "PAMA", you'll enter in a network that allows filmmakers to create, to get recognition, confidence, and envy to keep making films.

We screen films. We give awards. We share tips, offer many discounts to keep running the festivals course way cheaper.

Terms and rules

January 2021 festival dates and venues are subject to change.

MANDATORY :
Title, director’s name and surname, country of production, a short synopsis of 5 lines, a poster, an email to reach you.
All genres are accepted.
Films must have been produced within the past 2 years.

SUBTITLES
English subs if dialogues in any other langage than English.

SCREENING
File Requirements : will be sent by email following your selection. If you need some specifics right away please send an email. Films will screen from a computer with digital file or BluRay or DCP depending on the venue programming your film.

Selected films that did not make it to the finals shall not screen. They will have access to their laurels and will stay listed on our website but the films will not be part of the actual screening.

Every category will feature a QnA with attending filmmakers, to promote their work, share their vision, exchange with the audience.

If there is no cast, crew or representative to attend your screening, your film shall not screen. Even if you are listed here below. If we have no secure answer from you a week from the screening, your film shall not screen. If such, your film remains in competition and will still be listed on our website, but will not appear during the actual screening.

Regarding Best Feature Film of the Year, only the winning film shall screen, and only if in presence of lead cast / crew members.

The Festival reserve itself the right to disqualify any submission at any time.

FEE
You may submit multiple time sto multiple categories. Each entry must come with its own submission fee.
There are no refunds for double or mistaken submissions. All entries are final.
The festival does not grant transportation or any accommodation.
We do not pay screening fees.

PRIZES
Many prizes will be offered to winners and finalists and some of the selection. Prizes can be declined by winners.
There will be no shipping of the physical prizes.
Winners have 30 days from the day of announcement to claim their prize money. After this period, prizes will be revoked.

NOTIFICATION MANAGEMENT
Decisions of selection are up to the festival only. If your submission is marked as “incomplete” : that means we are missing some information before we can make a decision. If you do not comply with our requirements, the submission will be marked as “disqualified” after 9 days (7 open days + 2 days weekd-end).
If your submission is marked as “disqualified” that means your submission didn’t match with our requirements. Entries are not refundable.

COPYRIGHT
By submitting your film for consideration for the Hollywood Art and Movie Awards, you agree for the Hollywood Art and Movie Awards to screen your film if it is an official selection for this year's festival and are obligated to your commitment. You also grant the Hollywood Art and Movie Awards, its partners,
the Paris Art and Movie Awards, the festivals organisers and The Talent Factory to promote your film using the elements, files and documents you have submitted through the platform and/or email.

NO RESPONSABILITY
It is the sole responsibility of the Applicant to secure authorization and permission from the copyright owner(s) of any and all copyrighted content or materials included within the submitted Film. In the event that any claim, dispute, action or proceeding shall be brought or asserted by any person or entity that alleges that the Film makes unauthorized or unlawful use of any copyrighted content or material, Applicant shall fully indemnify and defend the Hollywood Art and Movie Awards from any liability in connection therewith and from any fees and expenses, including but not limited to attorneys’ fees, that any of them may incur in connection therewith.RELEASE
I acknowledge that, if accepted to participate, I will agree to comply with the Hollywood Art and Movie Awards General Rules, Eligibility and Policies & Procedures as included with this application, and agree to be bound by and comply with all those documents. I understand that the Hollywood Film Festival is responsible for making final decisions with regard to the festival operations and I agree to abide by their decisions. I agree to provide the festival a print of my film(s) and I release the festival committee and any festival representative from any responsibility for the theft, damage or loss of the print en route to the festival or otherwise during the course of the festival’s possession of the film.

Depending on the slots available, it is possible that we may not be able to screen all the films.
