What is a zine?
Our version of a zine is an accessible submission-based archive of short films from Austin’s newest and oldest filmmakers. For each zine, we put out a call for videos on a theme. Videos should be between 15 seconds and 4 minutes long, and must be original work created for the zine. Creators of the chosen films will receive $50 their work will be compiled onto used VHS tapes given a new life with stickers created by area artists. We always hold a screening party so filmmakers can show off their work to their friends and pick up a copy of the film. We highly encourage novice filmmakers to submit.
The theme for our 8th video zine is : CONSPIRACY.
Chemtrails. Aliens. Elvis made of cream cheese and stealing the souls of the innocent. Time to free associate until you’re out of consonants.
