1. We accept payment through Paypal, check, or money orders. Checks and money orders should be made payable to Robin Judd with ICE Film Fest on the memo line. Payment is expected at the time of submission. Films will not be screened by our panel of judges for consideration without payment. No refunds will be issued for films submitted to the ICE Film Festival.
2. All filmmakers will be notified by January 11th, 2016 of the status of their films. They will be notified by email. Filmmakers whose films are accepted into the festival will have until February 1st to supply the final copy and a back up copy of their film for screening. Films received after the deadline of December 15th will be entered into the next year's festival. Due to the number of submissions, screeners will not be returned.
3. The ICE Film Fest has no completion dates or world premiere regulations. However, if a filmmaker has a distribution deal, the festival must have permission (in writing) to screen the film free of charge from the distributor. It is solely the filmmaker's responsibility to provide this written permission and the filmmaker assumes any and all liability.
4. The ICE Film Festival is not a genre specific film festival. However, it is the sole discretion of the judging panel to reject a film based on content that might not be appropriate for general audiences. Foreign language films must be subtitled or dubbed into English.
5. We accept the following as final screener copies: a) DVD in NTSC format ONLY (No PAL) Region 1 or Region 0. In all fairness to each filmmaker, we don't offer waivers. Make sure your DVD plays in a region 1 DVD player; b) BluRay in Region 1 or Region 0. In all fairness to each filmmaker, we don't offer waivers. Make sure your BluRay plays in a region 1 player; c) H.264 MPEG-4 AVC Video file no larger than 4GB on a flash drive or delivered digitally is preferred. Other HD video files will be considered on a case by case basis.
6. Run times: Short 45 minutes or less; Feature 46 to 150 minutes. We do not accept films with a run time any longer than 150 minutes.
7. Required for each submission: a) Two screener copies of the film for the panel of judges (unless submitted digitally); b) Digital or Printed Press Kit; c) Digital movie poster; c) Feature submissions - a trailer no longer than 150 seconds; e) Completed submission form; f) and entry fee.
8. Please use a separate form for each film submitted.
