The 3rd India Film Fest of Salento will be held in June 17 through June 21, 2020 in the City of Tricase
We screen premieres of feature, documentary and short films made in and about the Indian subcontinent or it's people or made by Indians.
INDIA FILM FEST OF SALENTO (IFFS) RULES
The following terms and conditions govern the submission of IFFS through FilmFreeway for consideration for the India Film Fest of Salento 2020
Eligible for the festival are films from India or by filmmakers of Indian descent worldwide irrespective of theme, as well as films by international filmmakers with a prevalent Indian focus. Films must have been completed in 2017 or later, and not had a public screening in Italy and in Apulia Region (South Italy) prior to the festival.
Filmmakers may submit more than one entry. Each entry must be accompanied by a separate entry form and entry fee.
Non-English language works must have English subtitles at the time submitted. All Selected films must have English and Italian Subtitles.
Filmmakers must submit an online screener of their film through FilmFreeway, or by providing a link to an external site with any passwords needed to view the film.
The festival is no longer accepting DVDs as a format of submission.
I understand that it is my responsibility to provide a press kit with film stills, trailer, cast & crew information, director’s picture and bio, without which my submission will be considered incomplete and will be under no obligation to be considered by the Selection Committee.
I. SUBMISSION AGREEMENT
1.By submitting a Film to IFFS for Festival consideration, the submitter represents that he or she has obtained consent from any and all owners, creators, writers, producers and/or other authorized representatives of the Film whose consent is required to submit the Film the festival and screen the Film at the Festival, and has read, understood and agreed to the Terms.
II. SUBMISSION CATEGORIES AND ELIGIBILITY
1. Films that do not meet the eligibility requirements for any of the below categories should not be submitted and will not be considered.
2. For the purpose of the below categories, “Indian” films are Films that were directed by a Indian citizen or permanent resident of Italy and list Indian or Italy as one of the countries of production.
3. IFFS prefers that all Feature Films presented are, at minimum, South Italy Premiere or Regional Premiere IFFS will accept submissions that have already premiered in India or outside Italy, but the film’s premiere status will be taken into consideration when final programming decisions are made.
4. A Film will not be eligible for consideration and should not be submitted if the Film was completed prior January, 2019
