Any length.

Films that are directed by women. Any genre and any length are accepted in this category.

Films that were shot and produced within the surrounding counties of Cerro Gordo including: Winnebago, Worth, Mitchell, Floyd, Butler, Franklin, Wright and Hancock counties. These will be judged seperatly from the main categories of the festival (Feature Film, Short Film, Student Film, Documentary, and Women Filmmakers). To celebrate the local filmmakers, the winner of this category will be included and shown in the main film festival lineup. The premiere of the local Filmmakers category will take place on Thursday, September 9, 2020.

Of any type, length, or genre. Must be at least partially filmed in Iowa.

All forms of Animation welcome and encouraged. Of any length

. PLEASE ONLY USE THIS CATEGORY TO SUBMIT FILMS FOR THE SPECIAL CHALLENGE: This is challenge is to create a short film using the following elements: *** - Must include "chicken." As a word, a concept, a prop, etc. - The word "crispy" must be spoken or shown as a word. - Must have some mention of a teacher or teaching. - Any genre. - 7 minutes MAX. This includes beginning and/or end credits (if you choose to use them. optional) *** Some submissions may make it into the festival on their own merits and there will be a winner of the category. ** PLEASE FOLLOW APPROPRIATE GROUP SIZE RESTRICTIONS AND SOCIAL DISTANCING WHERE APPLICABLE**
