About the festival

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL

A festival dedicated to showcase new Jazzfilm's from this century as well as known and unknown classics. The films will be screened in Cinemas, Clubs and other venues as event-screenings in collaboration with local Jazz scenes, clubs or Live Jazz festivals in Denmark.

For a limited period selected films may be screened online, geo-blocked Denmark.

The first four editions of the festival had an opening event in February during the annual Winter Jazz Festival in Denmark followed by touring screens at specific chosen cinematic or musical stages in Denmark in collaboration with local partners during local Jazz Festivals.

The fifth (and possible the ones to come) will be re-scheduled in order to adapt market, audience, other festivals and events. The selected films will be screened at venues in Denmark during local Live Jazz Festivals (Copenhagen, Kolding, Aarhus, Aalborg) running from week 27 to 35 followed by a one week window presenting the films online, geo-blocked Denmark in week 36.

All awarded films receive a diploma and laurels.
