About the festival

Sword & Spoon Presents:

JUSTICE EVERYWHERE — a film competition and prize for emerging filmmakers and minority voices who are creating visual works of art on topics of race, oppression, discrimination, struggle and justice. We seek to give voice to these important stories and say once and for all we will not be silent in our aim to promote equality, peace and unity for all people.

The competition and prize is sponsored by Sword & Spoon, an organization of for-profit and not-for-profit partnerships with world-class filmmakers, writers, online media storytellers, musicians, and artists. Together with our partners, we seek to craft authentic narratives of honor, brokenness, beauty, and redemption.

Justice Everywhere Film Festival is powered by Justice Film Festival and Docs/ology

Since 2012 the Justice Film Festival has been exhibiting films, documentaries, and shorts from both well known and emerging filmmakers that shine a light on social justice and give voice to important issues and causes. The 6th annual Justice Film Festival will take place Nov. 2-4 2018 at the Sheen Center for Thought & Culture in New York City.

Docs/ology promotes documentary films that authentically and thoughtfully explore the truth about the human condition with excellence, artistry, and substance.

A diverse jury including leading justice advocates, film industry executives, non-profit leaders and university film school professors will award prizes in three categories:

1) Best Feature Film — $10,000
2) Best Short Film — $5,000
3) Creative Storytelling Award — $2500

Award winning feature & short films only will be screened during the Justice Film Festival (NOVEMBER 2-4)

*Filmmakers will be invited to attend and present their film, however Justice Everywhere Film Festival is not offering travel or accommodations for this aspect of the prize.
