About the festival

KieVino International Short Film Festival offers you the selection of best narrative and animation short films from all over the world. Be the one to experience a unique festival where your films are judged not only by professional Ukrainian jury, but also by audience in a relaxed festival atmosphere with screenings with wine and cheese in a cosy festival.
Our festival is a chance for directors from Ukraine and abroad to meet, exchange experience and co-operate in future. We are waiting for your films!
Festival events
The festival is to be set for 2 days, on the first day June 9th in the evening all the films that are in competition will be shown at open outdoor cinema in Kiev, giving audience a chance to vote for the best film to get an Audience Award. The second day is for film professional with film screening and wine tasting, where the professionals and jury will have a chance to see the works of filmmakers, the filmmakers present and show their films while communicating in a relaxed atmosphere. This day of the festival is planned to be held on June 10th. The same evening the festival Jury will award the Best Short Film Award.
Jury
Your film is going to be judged by 4 professional Ukrainian juries, the selection committee will pre-select 30 films, and 6 best ones will be screened during the festival and eligible for Grand Prix - Kievino Audience Award.

Submission
The submission is to start on June 28th 2016 and finish on April 20th, 2017. The director’s of the accepted films will be notified of the selection June 1st 2017. The festival will take place on June 9-10th 2017.

Terms and rules

International films eligible for entry

International film submission is open till April 20th , 2017.
Films of various genres and themes are accepted.
Competition is open to International narrative and animated short films.
Filmmakers are welcome to submit only through FilmFreeway.com.
Films must be completed after 1 January, 2014.
The maximum running time is 20 minutes.
Films not in English must be subtitled in English and the dialogue list must be provided after the acceptance.
Films that have broadcast on television or internet prior to the Festival are not eligible for consideration.
Entries must be submitted for pre-screening on Vimeo or YouTube link. If you use a secured link, you are REQUIRED to keep us updated with passwords or your film may be rejected.
There is an entry fee for submission.
