1.- Short films completed from January 1, 2018 may participate.
Call is open to all public, both nationally and
international.
2.- The subject is free.
3.- The short films may belong to any of the following categories:
Fiction, documentary, animation, experimental, video performance, found footage, video essay, ethnographic cinema, indigenous cinema, queer cinema.
4.- The works must have a minimum duration of 1 minute, maximum 60 minutes
(short, medium and feature film).
5.- Films may be made with any type of camera or digital technology.
6.- Films must be authored by the participating artist or filmmaker.
7.- The selected foreign films must have subtitles in Spanish for their final exhibition.
8.- The registration will be made exclusively through the FilmFreeway platform.
9.- The selected authors must send their film in a download link
through platforms such as: Dropbox, We transfer, Vimeo, Drive or similar. The format should be MP4, H264 codec.
10.- The registration deadline is 11/31/2020. Registrations made later
from this date will not be taken into account.
11.- The official selection will be announced through the festival's website and social networks from 07/12/2020.
12.- The decision of the Jury will be final.
13.- The selected works will be screened in two phases:
Phase 1, virtual exhibition:
From December 10 to 17, 2020 through the Festival's digital platforms, where we will have live interviews with the selected artists.
Phase 2, exhibition in cinemas and cultural centers in Mexico:
Once the COVID-19 pandemic has been overcome, the festival will hold exhibitions in cinemas and cultural centers in Mexico.
14.- Contestants are responsible for the rights of the submitted works.
15.- The screening times will be announced in the official program of the Festival, as well
as in the social networks of the same.
16.- The Festival may use fragments of the selected films
to broadcast the event in the media, including the Internet.
17.- The organization of the Festival will not cover in any case the coverage of passages,
per diem or accommodation for the authors of the selected shorts.
18.- The Festival is non-competitive in nature so it will not pay screenings to
selected artists.
19.- Music videos or advertising videos will not be accepted.
20.- Sending a film to KINAM, the International Different Film Festival implies acceptance of these rules.

1.- Podrán participar cortometrajes finalizados a partir del 1º de enero del 2018. La
convocatoria está abierta para todo público, tanto a nivel nacional como
internacional.
2.- El tema es libre.
3.- Los cortometrajes podrán pertenecer a cualquiera de las siguientes categorías:
Ficción, documental, animación, experimental, video performance, found footage, video ensayo, cine etnográfico, cine indígena, cine queer.
4.- Las obras deberán tener una duración mínima de 1 minuto, máximo 60 minutos
(corto, medio y largometraje).
5.- Las películas podrán estar hechas con cualquier tipo de cámara o tecnología digital.
6.- Las películas deberán ser de autoría del artista o cineasta participante.
7.- Las películas extranjeras seleccionadas deberán contar con subtítulos en idioma español para su exhibición final.
8.- La inscripción se realizará exclusivamente a través de la plataforma FilmFreeway.
9.- Los autores seleccionados deberán enviar su película en un link de descarga
a través de plataformas como: Dropbox, We transfer, Vimeo, Drive o similar. El formato deberá ser MP4, codec H264.
10.- El plazo límite de inscripción es el 31/11/2020. Las inscripciones realizadas después
de esta fecha no serán tomadas en cuenta.
11.- La selección oficial se dará a conocer por medio de la página web y las redes sociales del festival a partir del 07/12/2020.
12.- El fallo del Jurado será inapelable.
13.- Las obras seleccionadas se proyectarán en dos fases:
Fase 1, exhibición virtual:
Del 10 al 17 de diciembre del 2020 a través de las plataformas digitales del Festival, en donde contaremos con entrevistas en vivo con los artistas seleccionados.
Fase 2, exhibición en cines y centros culturales en México:
Una vez superada la pandemia COVID-19 el festival realizará exhibiciones en cines y centros culturales en México.
14.- Los concursantes son responsables de los derechos de las obras enviadas.
15.- Los horarios de proyección serán anunciados en el programa oficial del Festival, así
como en las redes sociales del mismo.
16.- El Festival podrá utilizar fragmentos de las películas seleccionadas
para difusión del evento en medios de comunicación, incluyendo Internet.
17.- La organización del Festival no cubrirá en ningún caso la cobertura de pasajes,
viáticos o alojamiento para los autores de los cortos seleccionados.
18.- El Festival es de carácter no competitivo por lo cual no pagará proyecciones a los
artistas seleccionados.
19.- No serán aceptados vídeos musicales o videos publicitarios.
20.- Enviar una película a KINAM, Festival Internacional de Cine Diferente implica la aceptación de estas normas.
