Films from all genres will be accepted for review and we welcome first time filmmakers!
Filmmakers must have copyright over all footage and soundtrack used in their film upon submission.
Films are allowed to have been previously shown. So don't worry!
Filmmakers are welcome to submit via FilmFreeway.com.
The LIVE FREE OR DIE FILM FESTIVAL will only accept submissions through FilmFreeway.
Emailing a link directly to the festival will not be considered.
Your submission must be available in English or in the original language with English subtitles.
Finalists are expected:
To provide minimum of 3 high resolution still images from your film for promotions.
In spirit of the festival, wherever possible, be available for interviews, participate in promotional activities, of course attend the festival (if possible) and be available to accept awards in person.
When submitting, we would love to know if this is:
The premier of your film or work of art
Your first film festival.
The first time you are showing your film to a live audience.
Or if you have already been in a festival and this is the first time this particular piece is showing.
The submission process and consideration is not affected by the date you submit your film as long as it is received by our submission deadline! We appreciate, however, filmmakers submitting their work as early as possible.
*Students must provide proof of enrollment by Student ID and school contact.
