LOW BUDGET FEST is a celebration of perseverance. We know that it isn’t always access to bundles of cash that create the most skillful artisans. It’s those filmmakers who try then fail then continue to create then refine then create again and… again, that forge themselves into a talented force to be reckoned with.
Our goal is to reward you for your creative efforts and encourage you to film more: better, stronger, faster.

A: Total money spent on this production alone (not including previous investments in equipment, software, training & etc). If it was purchased to help create this project and you intend to still use it for future projects or purposes -- it counts.

INVERTED SUBMISSION FEES
From past festivals, we noticed it was easier to get accepted the earlier you submitted (when it was cheaper), yet as the submission period progressed the fees would increase though your chance of getting accepted decreased. This feels very unfair.
Since we preview films as they come in, we've decided to reverse our submission fee policy.
• Submit early/higher fee - Greater chance you get accepted
• Submit late/cheap - Lesser chance you get accepted
This is an experiment, but we hope this helps put filmmakers' needs above our own.
