4th Annual Maisha African Film Festival 

Maisha African Film festival is back for its 4th edition this year and applications are open 18 April 2016. The festival will take place on 5-6 August 2016. 

Registration is open for the following: 
 -African short & features documentary
 -African narrative shorts and features

Terms and rules

Terms of film submissions:

-Submitted Films should be directed by an African filmmaker, the story should take place in Africa, the plot must be related to Africa.
-Submitted Films should have been produced no earlier than 2012.
-Call for Submission starts April 15, 2016.
-Deadline to receive the application form, two DVD copies of the film, along with promotional materials (posters, flyers, stills, and synopsis) is June 15, 2016.
-Maisha Film Lab is not obliged to return the received material if the film is not selected.
Material will not be used for any commercial activities.
-Maisha Film Lab management will announce the selected films by July 1, 2016.
Participating filmmakers should send the final screening copy subtitled in English to Maisha Film Lab prior to July 1,2016.
-The filmmaker will handle the cost of sending the film to Uganda.
-Films will be screened three times during the festival.
-Film format – one flash drive and one normal DVD.
