ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
To be eligible for consideration:
• All films must have been completed after January 1, 2017.
• All films must be subtitled in either English or German. Dialogue lists will not be accepted.
• Submitted films must not be publicly visible online (Youtube, Vimeo, etc.).
• Please observe the running time frames for your submission:
- Feature-length Fiction and Documentary Films (more than 60 minutes)
- Short films (less than 60 minutes)
• Films that have been submitted for consideration in previous years are eligible for re-submission.
• Each director can submit up to three films
• For submission purposes, preview DVDs may be works-in-progress, films with temporary soundtracks or digital outputs.
• Filmmakers must deliver final format until 31st August (as indicated in the “screening requirements” section below) for Festival screenings.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUBMITTING:
• Submit the completed submission form electronically via FilmFreeway.
• We prefer all screeners to be submitted digitally online. However, if absolutely necessary, we also accept DVDs (If submitting a DVD, write your FilmFreeway Submission ID number on the envelope and on the disk).
• Do not submit a press kit. We will request press kits only once a film has been accepted.
IF YOUR WORK IS SELECTED:
If your work is selected, you must fulfill the following:
• Accept responsibility for obtaining any and all clearances necessary to exhibit your film at MIRA;
• Warrant that you have the rights necessary to exhibit your film at MIRA;
• Indemnify and hold harmless Group OXIS and MIRA and any of their respective directors and representatives against any claim arising out of exhibition of your film at MIRA.
SCREENING REQUIREMENTS
If your film is selected for exhibition, please be advised that the Festival will require:
• Headshots of director(s) and writer(s)
• One sentence about the film for publicity; 150-words synopsis of the film
• Trailers, clip reels, posters, postcards, and EPKs, if available, to maximize exposure for
your film
TERMS OF AGREEMENT
• I agree that all materials will be sent prepaid, and understand and agree that if they are to be returned to me, I must provide full return postage and packaging. Entries destroyed otherwise.
• I understand that acceptance of my film does not guarantee airline or hotel accommodations for any party of the film’s production. I understand the Festival does not pay rental fees.
• I agree that if accepted, the Festival may use stills and/or up to 3 mins. of footage from this submission for Festival promotion, publicity & marketing via internet, print, screen, radio and/or TV.
• I agree that if accepted, the Festival may use the submitted films for non-profit screenings.
• I understand that the number of screenings, days and venue is at the sole discretion of the Festival.
By submitting your film you agree to the terms of agreement. Once you submitted your film, the submission cannot be withdrawn.

REQUISITOS GENERALES
Para participar en la convocatoria:
• Todas las películas deben haberse completado después del 1.° de Enero de 2017.
• Todas las películas deben estar subtituladas en inglés o alemán. No se aceptarán transcripciones de diálogo.
• Las películas enviadas no deben estar disponibles de manera pública en plataformas online (Youtube, Vimeo, etc.).
• Por favor tenga en cuenta estos parámetros de duración para clasificar sus envios:
- Largometrajes de ficción o documentales (mas de 60 minutos)
- Cortometrajes (menos de 60 minutos)
• Es posible reenviar películas sometidas a consideración del festival en años anteriores.
• Cada realizador puede enviar hast 3 películas
• Durante la etapa de selección, se considerarán trabajos en progreso. Si el envío es seleccionado, los realizadores deben enviar la versión final de su película antes del 31 de Agosto para ser proyectada. (Los detalles adicionales se explican en la sección de “Requisitos para proyección” mas adelante).
INSTRUCCIONES DE ENVIO
• Complete el formulario de envío electrónico disponible a través de FilmFreeway.
• Los envíos se aceptarán preferiblemente en formato digital en línea. En caso de ser absolutamente necesario, se aceptarán DVDs (Al hacerlo, por favor indique en el empaque y en el disco el número de identificación del envío que le fue asignado en FilmFreeway).
• Por favor no envíe kits de prensa al someter la película a consideración. Solicitaremos kits de prensa -de estar disponibles- solo a las películas que sean seleccionadas.
EN CASO DE SELECCIÓN
De ser aceptado su trabajo, es necesario que cumpla con los siguientes requisites:
• aceptar la responsabilidad de obtener todos los permisos necesarios -de haberlos- para proyectar su película en MIRA;
• garantizar que tiene todos los derechos para exhibir su película en el festival;
• eximir de cualquier responsabilidad legal al Grupo OXIS, Festival MIRA y cualquiera de sus respectivos directores o representantes frente a denuncias derivadas de la proyección de la película en MIRA.
REQUISITOS PARA PROYECCIÓN
Si la película es seleccionada para ser proyectada en el festival, por favor tenga en cuenta que se requerirán:
• Fotografías de directores/as y escritores/as.
• Una sinopsis de máximo 150 palabras sobre la película.
• En caso de estar disponible, material publicitario (e.g. trailers, clips, afiches, postales o kits electrónicos de prensa) para dar mayor visibilidad a las películas.
TÉRMINOS GENERALES DEL ACUERDO
• Acepto que, de enviar material en formato físico, cubriré todos los gastos de empaque, envío y posible retorno. Aquellos envíos que no cumplan con esas condiciones para su retorno serán destruidos.
• Entiendo que la selección de esta película no garantiza cubrir costos de vuelo u hospedaje para ninguno de los miembros de la producción, y que el festival no pagará por el derecho a exhibirla.
• Entiendo que, de ser aceptado, el festival podrá usar fotogramas y/o hasta 3 minutos de metraje de este envío con el propósito de promocionar el festival a través de publicidad y marketing online, medios escritos, proyecciones, radio y/o televisión.
• Estoy de acuerdo con que, de ser aceptado, el festival podrá usar la película para proyecciones sin fines de lucro.
• Acepto que el número, fecha y ubicación de las proyecciones de esta película sean decisión exclusiva de los organizadores del festival.
Al enviar su película, se dan por aceptados los términos generales del acuerdo. No será posible cancelar tal envío después de finalizar el proceso.
