JURY
Federica Andreoni (Italy)
Architect, PhD in Landscape Architecture at the La Sapienza University of Rome. Master's Degree in Geography, City and Architecture at the Escola da Cidade in São Paulo. In 2017 she is Visiting Researcher at the FAU USP and Artist in Residence at the FAAP in Sao Paulo, Brazil. She is a founding partner of Gnomone Architettura, with whom she has signed, among others, temporary installations projects in collaboration with MAXXI, the DMKM274 Festival and the Città delle Cento Scale Festival. Her essays are present in specialized books and magazines. Currently cultural manager at Real Academia de España en Roma.
Marta Bogéa (Brazil)
Architect and Urbanist from the Federal University of Espírito Santo (1987), Master in Communication and Semiotics, Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (1993) published under the title Two-way street: The Paulist Avenue flux and counter-flux of modernity publisher San Diego State University Press (1993); PhD in Architecture and Urbanism, University of São Paulo (2006), thesis published under the title Cidade Errante: Architecture in motion (Editora Senac, 2009). Research professor at the Architecture and Urbanism School at the University of São Paulo, Design Department, concentration area Architecture and Design Project, Space and Culture. She was coordinator of the Undergraduate Course in Architecture and Urbanism (2017 to 2019). She has experience in the area of Architecture and Art, with an emphasis on Theory and Design, mainly in the following themes: design, architecture, contemporary art, contemporary city, time and memory.
Reinaldo Cardenuto (Brazil)
Adjunct Professor of the Film and Video Department of the Fluminense Federal University (UFF). Reinaldo Cardenuto holds a degree in Journalism (PUC-SP) and Social Sciences (FFLCH-USP). Doctor in Media and Audiovisual Processes at the School of Communications and Arts (ECA) of USP, defended in 2014 the thesis The Political Cinema of Leon Hirszman (1976-1981): Engagement and Resistance during the Brazilian Military Regime. With research focused mainly on the History of Cinema and Drama, in the last years he has published articles such as Dramaturgy of evaluation: the political theater of the 1970s (2012, revista Estudos avançados), L'écriture de l'histoire dans le cinematography by Leon Hirszman (2013, Cinémas d'Amérique Latine), More humor, less politics: a certain tendency in Brazilian contemporary drama (2016, magazine Varia history) and Being a filmmaker, being a historian: Patricio Guzman among the memories and the nostalgia of light (2017, Passion of memory catalog). In 2016, he directed his third documentary, Between Images (Intervals). In the same year, he was curator of the exhibition Antonio Benetazzo, permanences of the sensitive, that resulted in the publication of a book of the same name about this plastic artist and political militant assassinated during the Brazilian military regime. Editor of the magazine Meaning, he was a professor at the Armando Alvares Penteado Foundation, and a temporary professor at ECA-USP.
Francesco Perrotta-Bosch (Brazil)
Brazilian-italian-german architect and essayist. In 2013 he was awarded the Instituto Moreira Salles’ Serrote Prize for his essay The Architecture of Intervals’. Master's Degree in architecture and urbanism at USP (University of São Paulo. Francesco has done several curatorial works in institutions as Casa da Arquitectura (Matosinhos, Portugal), Brazilian Pavilion of Venice Biennale, São Paulo Architectural Biennale and Columbia University’s Studio X Rio de Janeiro. After writing to several newspapers and magazines from Brazil, Argentina and Great Britain, nowadays, Francesco writes for Piauí Magazine.
Mat Rappaport (United States of America)
Associate Professor in Cinema and Television Arts at Columbia College in Chicago. Mat Rappaport is artist, curator, and educator known for works which utilize mobile video, performance, and photography to explore habitation, perception, and power as related to built environments. In 2018, Rappaport developed the Range Mobile Lab, a platform for practice-based research based on a 1995 GMC delivery truck. The Range Mobile Lab serves to extend the range performances, architectural collaborations, and direct community engagement. Rappaport’s work has been exhibited in the United States and internationally in museums, galleries, film festivals, and public spaces. Recent projects have been featured during the 500 Anniversary of the Jewish Ghetto in Venice, Italy, the 2017 Chicago Architecture Biennial, the 2017 and 2018 Ann Arbor Film Festival and performances with the Range Mobile Lab at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago and the Block Museum at Northwestern University. Rappaport is a co-initiator of V1B3, which seeks to shape the experience of urban environments through media-based interventions.
