We are an arthouse/independent focused collective looking for original films.
We started out as a production company created by independent filmmakers, and found that the movies we would like to see are completely ignored by mainstream cinemas, so we decided to start building a community based around the appreciation of independent cinema.
Our original plans for this festival were very ambitious, and several obstacles were presented to us in the organization of our first year's event. So we were forced to scale it down a bit:
Our aim is to screen the films selected to an audience interested in filmmaking, using mainly college venues and cultural centers.
There is no entry fee, and thus every screening will be a free screening.
There aren't any awards either, as we believe not in competition, but in the exhibition of new quality cinema.
This event is a completely not-for-profit effort. No corporations or sponsors are involved either.
