About the festival

The Festival includes three days of screenings, meetings with important authors and various collateral events: the first two dates will take place in Gioiosa Marea and Patti (ME); the final evening, where prizes will be awarded for the event, will use the beautiful scenery of the greek theater of Tindari.
The main objective of the "Nebrodi FilmFest" is to promote film culture, especially those works that often remain invisible despite being endowed with great artistic and human potential; a promotion, moreover, that wants to reach even the "non-professionals", the common. In this sense, the event aims to attract an ever increasing number of users, so as to become a real catalyst for culture, resources and urban regeneration.

The Nebrodi FilmFest aims to enhance the cinematographic art through the works of professionals, semi-professionals and young authors.
The Festival includes 3 categories: SemiPro (reserved for amateurs and semi-professionals), Pro (reserved for professionals), and Animation.
The competition provides a selection of the received works, unquestionably made by the Festival Direction, which will take into account the artistic value of the works and the maximum number of programmed projection hours.
The selected works will be projected during the first two evenings that will take place in Gioiosa Marea and Patti on July 13 and 14, 2018; on those two occasions, the Jury will evaluate each of the works in competition and will choose the finalists, which will be re-proposed within the closing night at Tindari, July 15, 2018, during which the winners of the Festival will be designated and all the other awards will be given.
