About the festival

Nenagh Children's Film Festival have decided to host an online festival rather than postpone until next year as we really believe our youth need events like these at this time and therefore we are still accepting submissions.

2020 will be the inaugural Nenagh Children's Film Festival, established to support Film and Filmmakers creating work for young audiences. It will take Online as part of our Nenagh800 celebrations. As an international festival we welcome submissions from all over the world from professionals and students alike.

The 3 day festival, from 12th - 14th June 2020, will include feature film, short film, animated and student screenings as well workshops for young people.

Awards will be given in a number of categories including Best Feature Film, Best Short Film, Best Animated Film and Audience Award.

Terms and rules

- All films must be submitted in English or with English subtitles
- All films submitted should be suitable for children
- Short films should be no longer than 15 minutes
- Feature films should not be less than 60 minutes
- A copy of current Student ID must be submitted
- All in-bound & out-bound costs shall be covered by the applicant.
- Once the film has been selected it cannot be withdrawn from the festival programme
- The films must be original and the applicant will take all responsibilities for any copyright infringements
- The Festival does not offer cash awards
- The Festival does not pay screening fees
- The Festival does not pay for accommodation
