New Florida Cinema, Inc. is a non-profit 501c3 organization whose mission is to support the film community throughout Florida. Since February 2017, New Florida Cinema has organized screenings of Florida-made short films on the big screen in theaters. Our regular screenings have allowed filmmakers to share their work to live audiences of patrons and peers.
Our screenings consist of 5 to 10 selected short films/videos followed by brief Q&As with any filmmakers in attendance. Preceding the short films is a trailer block of Florida related films and a brief “Behind the Scenes” or “Film News” segment.
Our atmosphere is casual and we encourage filmmakers and audience members to mingle and connect on film projects. We’re here to help Florida films get made by filmmakers at all levels. As an organization, our purpose is to provide the filmmaking community with resources to create, distribute, and exhibit their films so that filmmakers and the viewing public can achieve cultural enrichment and educational advancement through film.
Submit now for our June 24th, 2020 screening.

Laurels will be provided to films selected for inclusion in the screening. Selected films will also be considered “qualified” for awards and/or prizes presented at a “Best of New Florida Cinema 2020” special event to be planned for early 2021 (judges, categories and prizes are yet to be determined fully for said special event.)
