THE NEXT UP! Student Competition will showcase emerging filmmakers from the state of Florida during the 4th annual Vero Beach Film Festival, June 6-9, 2019.

The Competition is for Florida resident students and students attending a school in Florida. Student ID required for proof of student status. We recognize emerging Florida Filmmakers aged 21 years old and younger. The winning filmmakers will be recognized at an awards screening during NEXT UP! Awards and Screening.
Winning filmmakers will receive two (2) Festival All-Access Passes to the 2019 Vero Beach Film Festival (for the filmmaker and a legal guardian*) VBWFF will provide accommodations for the winners and legal guardians for one night stay during the Film Festival.
While at the Festival the winning filmmaker will have the opportunity to see approximately 75+ films, learn from panels with industry veterans and network with other filmmakers.

1st Place winner will have the opportunity to shadow Jeff Woolnough, Peabody Award-winning director and former VBWFF Chair on set. Travel and accommodations expenses to be paid by VBWFF.
