About the festival

November Film Festival is an international festival for experimental film and artists’ moving image. The inaugural edition took place in London in November 2016. The festival runs biannually with the next edition scheduled to take place in Close-Up Film Centre, London 22-25 November 2018.

We welcome single channel film and video works from within the fields of experimental and essay film, artists' moving image and media art, as well as documentary, ethnographic and narrative films that seek to expand, redefine or reconfigure the means and ends of their respective fields.

November champions works made by early career artists and filmmakers whose work is underrepresented in the UK. The festival provides a platform in London for moving image works made for the gallery and for the cinema, with the aim of building an international community across disciplinary and institutional faultlines. To facilitate exchange and debate, the festival will include workshops and symposia.
